OPTICAL SYSTEM DEMONSTRATING IMPROVED RESISTANCE TO OPTICALLY DEGRADING EXTERNAL EFFECTS - A system for projecting one or more synthetic optical images, which demonstrates improved resistance to optically degrading external effects, is provided. The inventive system serves to lock the focal length of the focusing elements in place. In other words, no other transparent materials or layers brought into contact with the inventive system will serve to materially alter the focal length or the optical acuity of synthetic images formed by the system. | 12-09-2010
TAMPER INDICATING OPTICAL SECURITY DEVICE - A tamper indicating optical security device that operates to produce one or more synthetic images is provided. Any attempt to detach (e.g., forcibly remove) this device from an underlying base material will cause one or more layers of the security device to separate or delaminate, rending the device partially or totally inoperable. The inventive device is contemplated for use with, among other things, currency or banknotes, secure documents such as bonds, checks, travelers checks, identification cards, lottery tickets, passports, postage stamps, and stock certificates, as well as non-secure documents such as stationery items and labels. The inventive device is also contemplated for use with consumer goods as well as bags or packaging used with consumer goods. | 01-27-2011

APPARATUS, METHOD, AND SYSTEM FOR IMPLEMENTING MICRO PAGE TABLES - An apparatus, method, machine-readable medium, and system are disclosed. In one embodiment the apparatus is a micro-page table engine that includes logic that is capable of receiving a memory page request for a page in global memory address space. The apparatus also includes a translation lookaside buffer (TLB) that is capable of storing one or more memory page address translations. Additionally, the apparatus also has a page miss handler capable of performing a micro physical address lookup in a page miss handler tag table in response to the TLB not storing the memory page address translation for the page of memory referenced by the memory page request. The apparatus also includes memory management logic that is capable of managing the page miss handler tag table entries. The micro-page table engine allows the TLB to be an agent that determines whether data in a two-level memory hierarchy is in a hot region of memory or in a cold region of memory. When data is in the cold region of memory, the micro-page table engine fetches the data to the hot memory and a hot memory block is then pushed out to the cold memory area. | 03-29-2012

Human Powered Dry Powder Inhaler and Dry Powder Inhaler Compositions - In one embodiment, a human-powered dry powder inhaler comprises a human-powered compressible component operable to discharge an air pulse at an outlet at a pressure of about 1-40 psi; an inflatable reservoir operable to receive an air pulse discharged from the human-powered compressible component to provide an aerosol of a dry powder pharmaceutical formulation in the reservoir, the reservoir including an outlet valve; and a receiving mask in communication with the outlet valve and operable to receive an aerosol of dry powder from the reservoir and to deliver the aerosol to at least a mouth or nose of a patient. In another embodiment, the inhaler comprises a human-powered compressible component operable to discharge an air pulse at an outlet of a polymeric pressure release valve at a pressure of about 1-40 psi; and a receiving mask in communication with the outlet of the compressible component and operable to deliver an aerosol of dry powder to at least a mouth or nose of a patient. Methods for delivery of a dry powder pharmaceutical formulation to a patient are conducted in the absence of electrical power and circuitry and pre-pressurized propellant gas. Suitable dry powder pharmaceutical formulations may include myo-inositol and/or maltodextrin as a carrier and active ingredients such as vaccines or siRNA. | 10-28-2010
Dry Powder Formulations, Vaccines and Methods - Respirable dry powder formulations comprise myo-inositol and leucine. Dry powder human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine formulations comprise a least one HPV capsid protein and a carrier comprising myo-inositol and leucine. Methods of administering an HPV vaccine to an individual comprise inhalation administration to the individual of a dry powder HPV vaccine formulation comprising a least one HPV capsid protein and a carrier comprising myo-inositol and leucine. | 02-23-2012
