20090044003METHODS AND APPARATUS TO CHANGE A FEATURE SET ON DATA COLLECTION DEVICES - Methods and apparatus for modifying the feature set of data collection devices are disclosed. Requests are receiving at a computer system different from the data collection device for a new configuration of the data collection device, the request including an identifier for the data collection device, identification of one or more features, and for each identified feature, an indication to modify the operation of a feature. The identifier may comprise an identifier that is unique for a particular data collection device or an indication of a group of devices. e.g. a model number. Prior to authorizing the new configuration, a determination may be made as to whether the identified data collection device(s) are suitable for the new configuration by consulting a configuration database. To implement the new configuration, an encoded authorization file is generated based on the requested configuration and the identifier of the data collection device(s). The encoded authorization file is transmitted to one or more data collection devices. Each data collection device that receives an encoded authorization file attempts to decode of the license using its identifier(s). If the authorization file is successfully decoded, a license key on that device is updated to implement the new configuration.02-12-2009

20120136800System and Method for Rapid MLS Listing Management - A system for the creation and management of MLS listing. Profiles are created for each subdivision the builder client builds in and for each house plan the builder builds. The Profiles store all information needed for an MLS listing that does not change for each home. With the profile when a user wishes to order a listing for a home that is being started they can choose the subdivision from a drop down menu and then select the floor plan from another drop down menu and press a button which then creates a pre-populated form. The user then needs only to enter the address, legal description, lot size, price and any special features unique to the particular home or lot and they are finished. In the system, a user can create a listing request in one or two minutes as opposed to filling out an eight page data input form.05-31-2012

20090072556Non-Opaque Radiator Grilles for Automotive Vehicles - A non-opaque radiator grille is deployed on an automotive vehicle. The use of non-opaque materials enables the radiator grille to incorporate a variety of different features for styling distinctions, including low visibility illumination, frosting, graphics, ribbing, fluting or other texturing. The grille can be treated or textured on an interior surface of the material to provide the desired textured look, instead of on the exterior surface. The non-opaque grille can be liquid filled, sand blasted and/or incorporate luminescence or diffused lighting. A single grille configuration can be treated internally to provide different styling looks for model or series differentiations. The non-opaque nature of the grille material opens the grille for sensing technology to be incorporated directly into the grille. If secondary external treatment processes are still desired, the use of the non-opaque materials would not prevent the chroming or painting of the radiator grilles.03-19-2009

20110145064SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MANAGING CONTENT ASSOCIATED WITH MULTIPLE BRAND CATEGORIES WITHIN A SOCIAL MEDIA SYSTEM - Embodiments of the present disclosure generally relate to aspects of an Internet-accessible brand management system (BMS) that allows marketers (e.g., corporations, organizations, etc.) to efficiently organize, create, maintain, and display content associated with many brand categories or brand items within a brand category on a single social media system (SMS) page/account, or alternatively, across many SMS pages or accounts with one or more common content themes. Administrators/developers of individual marketing pages or accounts (global and local) may update their pages through the BMS using standard configurable templates. The system may integrate content from one or more developers to create content for varying pages (for example, by incorporating some global content into local pages according to configurable rules, or vice versa). Subsequently, when a social media system user requests content associated with a particular brand category or brand item within that category on a social media system, the brand management system renders the updated, requested marketing page associated with that category, but within a global marketer page, or with common marketer content also provided.06-16-2011

20110103641VIDEO-BASED SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FIRE DETECTION - A video recognition system detects the presence of fire based on video data provided by one or more video detectors, but suppresses the triggering of an alarm in situations based on the selection of acceptable regions and application of rules associated with each acceptable region. A user defines acceptable regions within the field of view of the video detector and associates with each acceptable region a rule. During processing of video data associated with the field of view, video metrics are calculated and analyzed to detect the presence of fire (e.g., flame or smoke). Prior to triggering an alarm, regions identified as indicative of fire are compared with the user-defined acceptable regions. If there is overlap between the two regions, the rule associated with the acceptable region is applied to determine whether the alarm should be suppressed or triggered.05-05-2011

20110051993SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENSURING THE PERFORMANCE OF A VIDEO-BASED FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM - A video-based fire detection system receives video data comprised of a plurality of individual frames, and determines based on the video data the ability of the system to detect the presence of fire. The system includes a video recognition system connectable to receive the video data and to calculate one or more background features associated with the video data. Based on the calculated background features, the video recognitions system assesses the ability of the video-based fire detection system to detect the presence of fire. The system includes one or more outputs operably connectable to communicate the results of the assessment made by the video recognitions system.03-03-2011
20110058706SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VIDEO DETECTION OF SMOKE AND FLAME - A video recognition system detects the presence of fire based on video data provided by one or more video detectors. The video recognition system is operable to calculate a first flicker feature with respect to a first set of frame data and a second flicker feature with respect to a second set of frame data. The video recognition system combines the first flicker feature and the second flicker feature to generate an accumulated flicker feature. The video recognition system defines, based on the accumulated flicker feature, a flicker mask that represents a dynamic region of the fire. Based on the defined flicker mask, the video recognition system determines whether the video data indicates the presence of fire.03-10-2011
20110064264SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VIDEO DETECTION OF SMOKE AND FLAME - A video recognition system detects the presence of fire based on video data provided by one or more video detectors. The video recognition system divides each individual frame of video data into a plurality of frame elements and calculates with respect to each frame element a structural feature that the algorithm uses to identify a core region of potential fire. The video recognition system defines a region surrounding the core region and calculates with respect to each frame element within the surrounding region a temporal feature. Based on the calculated temporal feature, the video recognition system associates a representative temporal value with the core region. Based on the structural and temporal features associated with the core region, video recognition system determines whether the video data indicates the presence of fire.03-17-2011
