20110314445USER AUGMENTED REVERSE ENGINEERING - Disclosed herein is user augmented reverse engineering, where, in one embodiment, during the generation of a graphical representation of a codebase, database, binary and the like, users may be provided with an option to ‘focus’. For example, during the graphical generation of a large codebase, a user may select one or things to limit the extent of the graphical representation generation. In another embodiment, a graphical generation may encounter one or more pre-defined boundary conditions. Upon encountering a boundary condition, the generation of the graphical representation may determine that it is unable to complete the graphical generation within a pre-defined set of requirements without additional instructions. Thus, the graphical generation may complete and then prompt a user for solutions to any boundary conditions it has encountered, or the generation may pause at each boundary condition it encounters and prompt a user for a solution to the boundary condition.12-22-2011

20100251187LOCALIZED INFORMATION-PRESERVING LEVELS IN MODEL VISUALIZATION - Local areas of a visualized modeling language diagram are viewable at different levels of detail without losing information such as model elements and their connectivity. Multiple elements are associated with a group element, which has a visual portion derived from the appearance of a group member element. Connectors between group member elements and non-member elements are suppressed in favor of replacement connectors between the group element and the non-member element(s). The integrity of incoming and outgoing connections to the group is maintained relative to the rest of the model. Ungrouping elements restores the elements to their original state. Grouping can be applied locally to one or more parts of the visual model.09-30-2010
20100262949Visualized Modeling Language Connector Selection - An automatic relationship selector can be used with complex visualized modeling languages, such as Unified Modeling Language, to help users obtain appropriate relationship types for connectors. The selector automatically selects a connector relationship type based on relationship selection criteria which may include element types, an implicit default, an explicit default, and/or a heuristic default. A user can manually override automatically selected connector relationship type assignments. A helper lets a user set aggregation and other connector relationship properties. Automatic relationship type selection is done in-place while a connector is being positioned, to maintain the user interface's focus on the design diagram and avoid interrupting the user's design drafting flow.10-14-2010
20110310117LOCALIZED LAYOUT AND ROUTING IN AN INTERACTIVE DIAGRAMMING SYSTEM - Embodiments are directed to determining an appropriate neighborhood region for updating a node layout of an interactive diagramming system. A computer system receives an input indicating at least one change to various selected nodes displayed in the interactive diagramming system, where the changes to the selected nodes affect the positions of the other nodes on the node layout. The computer system traverses adjacent node edges to determine s minimal node neighborhood to which the node changes are to be applied. The computer system accesses diagram parameters that identify diagram and node characteristics and determines the minimal neighborhood region based on both the determined number of adjacent nodes and the accessed parameters. The computer system also updates the position of the selected node and the updated positions of those nodes and corresponding edges that are determined to be within the neighborhood region.12-22-2011

20100305857Method and System for Visual Collision Detection and Estimation - Collision detection and estimation from a monocular visual sensor is an important enabling technology for safe navigation of small or micro air vehicles in near earth flight. In this paper, we introduce a new approach called expansion segmentation, which simultaneously detects “collision danger regions” of significant positive divergence in inertial aided video, and estimates maximum likelihood time to collision (TTC) in a correspondenceless framework within the danger regions. This approach was motivated from a literature review which showed that existing approaches make strong assumptions about scene structure or camera motion, or pose collision detection without determining obstacle boundaries, both of which limit the operational envelope of a deployable system. Expansion segmentation is based on a new formulation of 6-DOF inertial aided TTC estimation, and a new derivation of a first order TTC uncertainty model due to subpixel quantization error and epipolar geometry uncertainty. Proof of concept results are shown in a custom designed urban flight simulator and on operational flight data from a small air vehicle.12-02-2010

20110251997LOGICAL REPLICATION IN CLUSTERED DATABASE SYSTEM WITH ADAPTIVE CLONING - Architecture that addresses an end-to-end solution for logical transactional replication from a shared-nothing clustered database management system, which uses adaptive cloning for high availability. This can be time based using a global logical timestamp. The disclosed architecture, used for refreshing stale clones, does not preserve user transaction boundaries, which is a more complex situation than where the boundaries are preserved. In such a scenario it is probable that for a given data segment no clone of the segment may contain the complete user transaction history, and hence, the history has to be pieced together from the logs of multiple different clones. This is accomplished such that log harvesting is coordinated with the clone state transitions to ensure the correctness of logical replication.10-13-2011

20120005391PROCESSOR BUS BRIDGE SECURITY FEATURE FOR NETWORK PROCESSORS OR THE LIKE - Described embodiments provide a system having a bridge for communicating information between two processor buses. The bridge receives a command from a first bus, the command having an identification field and an address field. As the command is entered into a buffer in the bridge, the address field is checked against one or more addresses. If there is a match, then control bits are checked to see if the command will be allowed or not depending on the identification field value. If the command is not transferred to the second bus, a flag is set in the buffer, and an error message is returned to the first bus, and an interrupt may be generated. The control bits allow commands access to specific addresses on the second bus or deny the access depending on the command identification field. Bit-wise masking provides a range of values for identification and address field matching.01-05-2012

20110225334PROCESSOR BUS BRIDGE FOR NETWORK PROCESSORS OR THE LIKE - Described embodiments provide a system having a bridge for connecting two different processor buses. The bridge receives a command from a first bus, the command having an identification field having a value. The command is then entered into a buffer in the bridge unless another command having the same identification field value exists in the buffer. Once the command with the same identification field value is removed from the buffer, the received command is entered into the buffer. Next, the buffered command is transmitted over a second bus. A response to the command is eventually received from the second bus, the response is transmitted over the first bus, and the command is then removed from the buffer. By not entering the received command until a similar command with the same identification value is removed from the buffer, command ordering is enforced even though multiple commands are pending in the buffer.09-15-2011
20110225337TRANSACTION PERFORMANCE MONITORING IN A PROCESSOR BUS BRIDGE - Described embodiments provide a system having a bridge for connecting two different processor buses. A process monitor within the bridge allows for measuring latency of commands issued on a first bus, passing through the bridge, and executed by clients coupled to the second bus. By using identification fields associated with the command, measuring the latency of each command begins with matching the identification field of the command to an integer. As the bridge passes acknowledgements back to the first bus, the monitoring of the command is stopped when an identification field associated with an acknowledgement matches the identification field of the command being monitored. Data collected include the minimum, maximum, total latency, and the number of commands monitored. From this data, the average latency can be easily calculated.09-15-2011
