Vapor-emitting device with end of use indicator - A vapor-emitting device according to various embodiments of the invention includes an end of use indicator to visually warn a user that it is nearing the time and/or has reached the time to replace the vapor-emitting device or refill the device. The vapor-emitting device includes a cover that is displaceable relative to a base. A gel material is contained within the base having disposed therein an end of use indicator. The end of use indicator is configured to visually indicate when the gel material evaporates below a pre-determined level. | 11-06-2008

POLYMERIC COVER FOR ROBOTS - The present invention involves a cover for a spraying device of a robot which is formed from a polymer with enhanced residue retention properties. The polymer may be processed to increase the surface energy of the polymer. For example, the polymer may be subjected to a corona treatment in order to increase its surface energy. The corona treatment process may be performed on the polymer as received, prior to cutting or otherwise manipulating the polymer. Also, the polymer may be embossed to provide the enhancement. To assemble the polymer into a robot cover, the polymer as received may be cut into individual sections for assembly. The sections may then be assembled to one another by heat sealing the sections together. The heat sealing provides a bond between the individual sections of polymer that secures the individual sections together to create the robot cover. The polymer may also be formed into tubular sections for securing to the spraying device. | 10-02-2008
POLYMERIC COVER FOR ROBOTS HAVING AN INCREASED TOTAL SURFACE ENERGY - The present invention involves cover for robots having spray nozzles wherein the surface material of the covers have been enhanced for residue retention. The robot covers of the present invention may be formed from a polymer, which in one exemplary embodiment may be polyethylene. For example, the polymer may be received in the form of a cast or blown extruded plastic film. In one exemplary embodiment, the polymer may be processed to increase the surface energy and/or surface area of the polymer. By increasing at least one of the surface energy and the surface area of the polymer, the total energy of the surface of the polymer is increased. | 11-06-2008

CLOCK WHEEL PIVOT BEARING - Repairs of clocks with worn wheel pivots may be made with a ball bearing pivot wheel support system. The system may utilize a standard sized ball bearing and a bushing in frictional engagement with an inner race of the ball bearing. The bushing may be bored to provide frictional engagement with the pivot wheel so that the pivot wheel may rotate without relative motion between the wheel pivot and the bushing. | 01-19-2012

Multi-Path Interfolding Apparatus And Method - An interfolding apparatus and method, utilize, first and second sheet-cutting-and-overlapping arrangements and an interfolding arrangement simultaneously mounted and operatively interconnected in a common frame, for alternatively selectively forming a first or a second interfolded pattern having a given folded width, without replacement of components of the interfolding apparatus. The first interfolded pattern is formed from a first stream of overlapped sheets of a first length cut from a web of sheet material fed along a first path extending through the first sheet-cutting-and-overlapping arrangement to the interfolding arrangement. The second interfolded pattern is formed from a stream of overlapped sheets of a second length cut from the web of sheet material fed along a second path extending through the second sheet-cutting-and-overlapping arrangement to the interfolding arrangement. | 10-08-2009
Automated Unwind System with Auto-Splice - A splice is made, between a tail end of first web and a lead end of a second web coiled about an unwind axis, by winding a portion of the first web adjacent the tail end of the first web about a splicing roll mounted for rotation about a splice roll axis oriented substantially parallel to the unwind axis, and then joining the tail end to the lead end by compressing an adhesive between an inside surface of the tail end and an outer surface of the second web. Compression of the adhesive is accomplished by urging the splice roll against the coiled second web while the coiled second web is rotating about the unwind axis in an unwind direction and the splicing roll is rolling about the splice roll axis in a direction opposite to the unwind direction. | 10-21-2010
