20080219334Managing Bit Error Rates on Point-To-Point Wireless Links in a Network - In one embodiment, a method includes receiving, from a decoder connected to a wireless receiver for communication with a remote apparatus, first error data that indicates a current error rate that corresponds to a first inbound data packet received from the remote apparatus. Based in part on the first error data, it is determined whether the remote apparatus should increase a current signal to noise ratio. If so, then a first outbound data packet is sent to an encoder connected to a wireless transmitter. The first outbound data packet includes first link conditioning request data that indicates a current signal to noise ratio for one or more data packets received from the remote apparatus based at least in part on the first error data. The remote apparatus increases signal to noise ratio of transmissions in response to receiving the outbound data packet.09-11-2008

20090138521METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SHARING INFORMATION BETWEEN DISPARATE DATA SOURCES IN A NETWORK - A system and method for sharing information in a network are provided. The system comprises a database module operative to maintain an information database identifying one or more items-of-interest. One or more data source communication modules are operatively connected to the database module. The one or more data source communication modules are configured to transmit one or more items-of-interest to the information database, or listen for one or more items-of-interest in the information database. A situation display module is operatively connected to the database module. The situation display module is configured to transmit one or more items-of-interest to the information database, or listen for one or more items-of-interest in the information database.05-28-2009
20100091036Method and System for Integrating Virtual Entities Within Live Video - The present application provides a method and system for inserting virtual entities into live video with proper depth and obscuration. The virtual entities are drawn using a model of the real terrain, animated virtual entities, and a location of the live camera and field of view. The virtual entities are then merged with the live video feed. The merging can occur in real-time so that virtual entity is inserted into the live video feed in real-time.04-15-2010
20100125812METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MARKING A POSITION OF A REAL WORLD OBJECT IN A SEE-THROUGH DISPLAY - A method for marking a position of a real world object on a see-through display is provided. The method includes capturing an image of a real world object with an imaging device. A viewing angle and a distance to the object are determined. A real world position of the object is calculated based on the viewing angle to the object and the distance to the object. A location on the see-through display that corresponds to the real world position of the object is determined. A mark is then displayed on the see-through display at the location that corresponds to the real world object.05-20-2010

20090077214SYSTEM FOR FUSING INFORMATION FROM ASSETS, NETWORKS, AND AUTOMATED BEHAVIORS - A system for fusing information from disparate data sources is disclosed. The system comprises a database module operative to maintain an information database identifying one or more items-of-interest, and a situation display module in operative communication with the database module. An asset data plugin is in operative communication with the database module, and an asset communications plugin is operatively coupled to the asset data plugin. The asset communications plugin is configured to communicate with one or more assets. A messages plugin is in operative communication with the database module, and a network communications plugin is operatively coupled to the messages plugin. The network communications plugin is configured to communicate with one or more networks. An automated behaviors plugin is in operative communication with the database module, the asset communications plugin, and the network communications plugin. The situation display module, the asset data plugin, the messages plugin, and the automated behaviors plugin are all configured to transmit one or more items-of-interest to the database module or listen for one or more items-of-interest in the database module.03-19-2009
