Apparatus For Production of Hydrogen Gas Using Wind and Wave Action - A platform apparatus for producing hydrogen gas from water includes a buoyant base configured for floating in a body of water, such as on the ocean, a vertical support member extending upwardly from the base, a wind turbine rotatably coupled to the support member for transforming the kinetic energy of wind into rotational energy, a generator coupled to the wind turbine for transforming the rotational energy generated into DC electricity, and an electrolysis apparatus affixed to the platform for using the electricity to extract hydrogen gas from water by the process of hydrolysis. The electrolysis apparatus preferably comprises an exchange chamber for storing water collected from the body of water, a pair of corrosion resistant electrodes, and a gas collection apparatus for collecting the hydrogen gas produced by electrolysis. The platform apparatus preferably includes a pumping apparatus powered by wave motion of the body of water for supplying water to the electrolysis apparatus. A gearing system preferably allows the generator to be driven at a greater rotational speed than the wind turbine. | 09-25-2008
APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING HYDROGEN FROM SALT WATER BY ELECTROLYSIS - An apparatus for producing hydrogen from salt water by electrolysis. The apparatus includes a cathode plate and an anode plate spaced apart from the cathode plate. The apparatus also includes a cathode end connector for electrically connecting the cathode plate to a negative terminal of a direct current electrical power supply, and an anode end connector for electrically connecting the anode plate to a positive terminal of the direct current electrical power supply. The cathode plate is made from aluminum, and the anode plate is made from zinc. The aluminum cathode plate may have a multiplicity of apertures therein. It has been determined that the aluminum cathode plate and the zinc anode plate tend to provide an effective combination for salt water electrolysis. | 10-14-2010

Wind powered charging system for electric vehicles - This invention uses the rushing air from the forward motion of a vehicle to turn five wind turbines and their generators. Four small turbines and generators are located just behind the front grill and utilize the air entering into the engine compartment to spin the turbines and then the generators. The fifth and larger turbine and generator are located in the rear of the vehicle where air, from four intake vents on the outside of the vehicle, is piped back and directed across the blades of the turbine. Each turbine has a gearbox to increase the rotational speed of the attached generator. The electrical current thus produced from the generators passes through regulators and is used to recharge the storage batteries of the electric vehicle as it travels forward down the road. | 03-18-2010
Metal plate stack for salt water electrolysis - This invention uses alternating galvanized steel and perforated aluminum plates to increase the extraction rate of hydrogen from salt water by electrolysis. The galvanized steel plates are wired together to form the anode while the perforated aluminum plates are also wire together to form the cathode around which the hydrogen is extracted. The perforated aluminum also reacts with the sodium hydroxide, produced during electrolysis, to release even more hydrogen from the solution. The myriad of perforations in the aluminum plates creates numerous contact points with the solution so that the electrical current can extract the hydrogen more efficiently from the salt water. | 08-26-2010

Object Detection And Ranging Method - The present invention relates to a method for object detection and ranging within a vehicles rearward field of interest which includes an algorithm to translate images provided by an imaging device. An image device provides images to a processor which divides the images into groups of rows of pixels. The rows are processed by the algorithm which includes assigning each pixel in the rows to an object. The translation of the image from outside of the vehicle is provided to the vehicle operator and includes the tracking of location and dimensions of multiple objects within the viewing range. | 10-14-2010
Use of a Single Camera for Multiple Driver Assistance Services, Park Aid, Hitch Aid and Liftgate Protection - The present invention is a system for providing multiple driver assistance services which includes a vehicle having at least one door, and at least one imaging device operable for detecting the presence of one or more objects in proximity to the door for providing all distances between a vehicle and one or more objects in proximity to the vehicle. The imaging device is operable for displaying an image representing the various objects. | 02-24-2011

WHEEL DEVICE, BLANK, AND METHOD OF MAKING DEVICE - A wheel display device having a wheel panel including an inner wheel hub portion, a wheel portion releasably secured to and circumscribing the hub portion, a tab portion releasably secured to the wheel portion, and at least one wheel support arch portion releasably connected to the wheel portion and to the tab portion; a first sheath panel connected to the wheel panel and joined to at least one arch portion along a fold line to permit the wheel portion to be folded over onto the first panel; and a second sheath panel joined to the first panel along a fold line to permit the second panel to be folded over onto the first panel to capture the wheel panel therebetween. When the tab portion is removed, the wheel portion can be released from the hub portion and at least one arch portion to rotate about the hub portion. | 07-16-2009
MULTI-PANEL FOLD OUT DEVICE, BLANK, AND METHOD OF MAKING THE DEVICE - A multi-panel fold-out device made from a blank includes at least first, second, and third panels which are joined together in sequence, and formed by separation lines between the first, second, and third panels. The first and second panels each have an internal panel portion including a score line adjacent to an edge of the panel. Each internal panel portion is releasably secured to its panel such that the internal panel portion can be pivoted around its score line relative to its panel. The first panel is foldable over, along the first separation line, to secure the first panel to the second panel. The first and second panels are foldable under, along the second separation line, to secure the first and second panels to the third panel. The first and second internal panel portions are of different sizes so that these panels can be folded out in sequence. | 07-23-2009

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DISPENSING FLOWABLE SOLID MATERIAL - The invention is directed to a method and device for delivering flowable solid material from a first location to a second location. The device has a receiving end which receives the flowable solid material therein and a discharge end which discharges the flowable solid material therefrom. An outlet opening is connected to a vacuum assembly which draws airflow from the device through the outlet opening, thereby drawing fine contaminants associated with the flowable solid material into the vacuum assembly. The airflow drawn from the device reduces the speed of the flowable solid material, allowing the flowable solid material to be discharged from the discharge end at a speed which will not damage the flowable solid material and which will minimize the amount of fine contaminants introduced to the air surrounding the discharge end. | 05-03-2012
