20090076983METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR OBJECT-ORIENTED MANAGEMENT OF MULTI-DIMENSIONAL DATA - Methods and systems for managing and analyzing multi-dimensional data are provided. Example embodiments provide a Meta-Object Data Management System “MODMS,” which enables users to arrange and to rearrange the hierarchical relationships of the data on an ad-hoc basis and allows the data to be analyzed using any set of attributes (dimensions) while the system is running. The MODMS represents heterogeneous data in a normalized (standardized) fashion using an object type management system that allows the arbitrary coercion of one type of object into another different type of object and automatically resolves attribute dependencies. In one embodiment, the MODMS comprises an object type management subsystem; a meta-object instantiation subsystem; one or more data repositories that hold, for example, the data used to populate objects and object type definitions; and an input/output interface. These components cooperate to allow the creation, management, and analysis of relationships between many different types of single and multi-dimensional data. In one embodiment, the MODMS is used to implement an enterprise portfolio management system.03-19-2009

20110035701FOCAL POINT ZOOM - Various embodiments provide a focal point zoom component that is configured to perform a focal point zoom operation. In at least some embodiments, the focal point zoom component receives a request to perform a zoom operation at a focal point of an element in a page displayed in a display area. The focal point zoom component then performs the zoom operation on the page so that a location of the focal point relative to the element and to the display area is retained.02-10-2011

20080288439COMBINED PERSONAL AND COMMUNITY LISTS - Presented are techniques for creating a relationship between a community list of information and a personal list of information in order to transfer data between each list. In one technique, a community interface is displayed including a community list of information available to users within a community. Additionally, a personal interface is displayed including a personal list of information, wherein the personal list of information is available only to a user that creates the personal list of information. Furthermore, copies of an item of interest can be transferred from the community list into the personal list between the personal and community interfaces.11-20-2008

20110285863LIVE TELEVISION BROADCASTING SYSTEM FOR THE INTERNET - Live television broadcasting systems for the Internet are provided. An example system provides a broadcasting-system-in-a-bag that self-connects camera and video stream to the Internet. The example system captures video at a high quality frame resolution (capturing audio too) and compresses the resulting multimedia steam to balance quality against bandwidth for bitrates that do not tax or overload an average broadband connection or CPU. The live video stream may be viewed immediately in a high quality resolution by web browsers, for example, on a dedicated channel, and made available on many devices and platforms, including computers, wireless phones, and other wireless handheld devices. A web service can provide access in one place to numerous live broadcasts from many different users.11-24-2011

20110119281Methods for Discovering Analyst-Significant Portions of a Multi-Dimensional Database - Methods for discovering portions of a multi-dimensional database that are significant to an analyst can be computer-implemented. The methods can include specifying a data view having at least two dimensions and all records of the database. A plurality of operation iterations are then performed on the data view, wherein each iteration is a chain operation, a hop operation or an anti-hop operation. The operation iterations are ceased upon satisfaction of a termination criteria. The resulting data view can then be presented to an analyst. The methods can facilitate a users' knowledge discovery tasks and assist in finding relevant patterns, trends, and anomalies.05-19-2011

20110039515METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING LOCATION INFORMATION FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES - Emergency Services architecture for determining the location of a wireless caller. The architecture leverages a synchronization feature of GSM networks of the Base Station Subsystem (BSS) to enable employment of sparse networks by removing WLS (Wireless Location Sensor) equipment from selected cell sites. Thus, the location of a wireless caller within a sparse site can be determined. Sparse network location services can be provided further utilizing Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) technology, and other network-based location technologies such as Enhanced Observed Time Difference (EOTD) and Angle of Arrival (AOA). Hybrid network-based/handset-based location technologies may also be used with the disclosed invention.02-17-2011

20090111310Quick-Release Connector - A connector includes a locking mechanism that locks the connector in a socket but allows removal of the connector without a manual operation that relies on depressing the locking mechanism. The connector is released from the socket when a sufficient pulling force is applied to the connector. The connector includes a spring-loaded detent that flexes during the insertion process. The detent snaps into a locking position. The detent can be released from the socket when sufficient tension is applied on the connector such that inadvertent tension will not result in breaking the connector.04-30-2009
