20100132304Apparatus and method for preventing damage to wood flooring during attachment to a subfloor - An apparatus and method of installing a hardwood floor employs a pneumatic or other impact fastener tool to drive staples, cleats, nails or other fasteners at a prescribed angle into and through the tongue of a solid or engineered hardwood flooring board having a standard profile and into a subfloor. The tool and method employs at least one inertia braking member, such as pads formed of rubber, foam, cork or other materials, that cushion the impact of a driving blade on the fastener and slow the final insertion of the fastener into the wood. Damage to the wood, such as splitting, shearing, pinching or puckering is prevented and overwood-underwood problems that are related to pinching and puckering do not arise. The inertia braking members are positioned inside a cylinder in which the driving piston and blade move and are easily replaceable when worn.06-03-2010

20080260418System and Method For Remanufacturing Imaging Components - A method of remanufacturing a replaceable consumable unit includes providing the replaceable consumable unit including a first electronic circuit, with the first electronic circuit being at least partially inoperable; providing a second electronic circuit; communicatively connecting the second electronic circuit to the first electronic circuit; and intercepting, by the second electronic circuit, signals sent by an imaging system to the first electronic circuit.10-23-2008
20080317497Systems and Methods for Remanufacturing Imaging Components - Techniques for modifying an imaging cartridge includes providing the imaging cartridge including a body including a circuit holding structure sized to hold an electronic circuit and forming a modified circuit holding structure, with the modified circuit holding structure sized to hold a replacement electronic circuit. At least one dimension of the replacement electronic circuit may be greater than a corresponding dimension of the electronic circuit.12-25-2008
20090022513Systems and methods for remanufacturing imaging components - Techniques for remanufacturing an imaging cartridge include providing the imaging cartridge including a memory element storing cartridge usage data, reading from the memory element the cartridge usage data, analyzing the cartridge usage data to produce results, and determining, based on the results, if a component of the imaging cartridge needs to be replaced. A cartridge memory interface device includes processing circuitry adapted for reading cartridge usage data from the memory element of the imaging cartridge. The processing circuitry is further adapted for analyzing the cartridge usage data to produce results for determining if any components of the imaging cartridge need to be replaced. A user interface displays the results to a user.01-22-2009
20090190935Systems and Methods for Universal Imaging Components - A universal cartridge chip for use with an imaging process cartridge installed in an imaging device is disclosed. The universal cartridge chip includes a memory storing imaging process cartridge data. The universal cartridge chip may be installed on the imaging process cartridge in a first orientation or a second orientation. If the cartridge chip is installed in a first orientation, the cartridge chip operates in a first mode. If the cartridge chip is installed in a second orientation the cartridge chip operates in a second mode.07-30-2009
20090251513Systems and methods for remanufacturing imaging components - An ink jet remanufacturing chip verifier for new ink jet chips attached to remanufactured ink jet cartridges includes a controller for verifying during the process of remanufacturing the ink jet cartridges: if the new ink jet chips attached to the remanufactured ink jet cartridges are new ink jet chips, if the new ink jet chips attached to the remanufactured ink jet cartridges were manufactured by a predetermined manufacturer of new ink jet chips, if the new ink jet chips attached to the remanufactured ink jet cartridges are functional, and if the new ink jet chips attached to the remanufacture ink jet cartridges are a predetermined type of new ink jet chip; the controller for rejecting during the process of remanufacturing the ink jet cartridges: ink jet chips attached to remanufactured ink jet cartridges which have been previously used, ink jet chips attached to remanufactured ink jet cartridges which produced by manufacturers other than the predetermined manufacturer of inkjet chips, inkjet chips attached to remanufactured inkjet cartridges which are not functional, inkjet chips attached to remanufactured inkjet cartridges which are not a predetermined type of new inkjet chips; and a user interface for communicating the verification or rejection of the new ink jet chips from the controller during the process of remanufacturing.10-08-2009
20090297171Systems and Methods for Imaging Components - A cartridge chip for use with a first type of imaging cartridge and a second type of imaging cartridge comprises a controller and a resistive element connected between the controller and a reference potential, the cartridge chip adapted for operation in a first mode of operation compatible with the first type of imaging cartridge when the controller detects the reference potential through the resistive element, the cartridge chip adapted for operation in a second mode of operation compatible with the second type of imaging cartridge when the controller cannot detect the reference potential through the resistive element.12-03-2009
20100141715Imaging Apparatus and Methods - A method of modifying an imaging cartridge detachably mountable to an imaging apparatus, the imaging cartridge comprising a cartridge chip, the method including detaching the cartridge chip from the imaging cartridge, the cartridge chip comprising a light emitting device adapted for emitting light in the visible spectrum; and attaching a replacement cartridge chip to the imaging cartridge, the replacement cartridge chip comprising a light emitting device adapted for emitting light outside the visible spectrum.06-10-2010
20110158679Systems and Methods for Remanufacturing Imaging Components - Techniques for modifying an imaging cartridge includes providing the imaging cartridge including a body including a circuit holding structure sized to hold an electronic circuit and forming a modified circuit holding structure, with the modified circuit holding structure sized to hold a replacement electronic circuit. At least one dimension of the replacement electronic circuit may be greater than a corresponding dimension of the electronic circuit.06-30-2011
