20110246359METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR IDENTITY AUTHENTICATION - The Greenlist tool provides payors desiring to pay a merchant a means to locate, validate and effect the transfer of assets to another party by routing transaction requests to a third party that functions as the transaction enabler. This task is performed without divulging confidential information about transactors while assigning liability for certain risk consequences to the lowest cost risk bearers: banks. Greenlist verifies identities before making financial transactions or before obtaining access to restricted information. The Greenlist can be completely trusted by risk-bearers. Liability for risk can be transferred to the registrars of the information contained within the registry. This liability transfer substantially reduces the payor's cost of bearing risks. Banks or third parties responsible for certifying that someone or some entity claiming to be an authorized party is not an impostor can now offer new levels of service at a substantially lower cost for a variety of transactions.10-06-2011

20090294413METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROPORTIONAL VALVE ACTUATION IN A PLASMA CUTTER - A system and method for automatically controlling gas pressure for a plasma cutter includes a plasma torch, a gas supply system to provide a pressurized gas to the plasma torch, and a proportional valve configured to regulate the pressurized gas. The proportional valve includes a body, a valve seat positioned therein and defining a valve orifice, and a plunger having a mating surface on one end that mates with the valve seat and the orifice and a pressure receiving surface on an opposite end. The proportional valve also includes an inlet to receive the pressurized gas and distribute the pressurized gas to the valve orifice and the pressure receiving surface of the plunger, an electrical solenoid having a chamber to electro-magnetically translate the plunger therein, and a bias urging the plunger toward the valve orifice in conjunction with the pressurized gas when electrical power is reduced to the electrical solenoid.12-03-2009
20100078410METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HIGH POWER DENSITY PLASMA CUTTING SYSTEM - A system and method for providing a high power density plasma cutting/welding-type system is disclosed. The plasma cutting system includes a housing and a power source disposed within the housing constructed to generate plasma cutting power. The plasma cutting system also includes a plasma torch actuated by a trigger and connected to the power source to produce a cutting arc. The plasma cutting system is constructed such that it has a power-to-weight ratio of at least 550 Watts per kilogram (W/kg).04-01-2010

20080263009System and method for sharing of search query information across organizational boundaries - Disclosed is a method and system for capturing and reporting information relating to an organization's queries, such as Internet search queries generated by particular groups within an organization, and making such information available to others to support various decisions organizations must make. The search activity of search-level users may be constantly tracked, and search event data records (including query terms and an identification of the search-level user) are collected and analyzed. An analytics engine receives and analyzes the search event data and determines when predefined organization-specific relationships exist between queries of distinct users. When such a relationship is identified, a notification message or alert may be generated indicating the existence of such relationship, and directed to a person in the organization other than the search-level users whose queries were found as relating to one another, thus allowing such person receiving the notification to take action in response to the related activity.10-23-2008

20120014964ALPHA SYNUCLEIN TOXICITY - Present inventions demonstrates that alpha synuclein toxicity such as α-synuclein mediated cell death, alpha synuclein induced reactive oxygen species (ROS) in a cell requires the proapoptotic endonuclease G and that the deletion of the endonuclease G or suppressing of the endonuclease G apoptotic pathway attenuates or counteracts such alpha synuclein toxicity. The present invention compositions and methods for inhibition of α-synuclein toxicity. The inhibiting α-synuclein toxicity can be used in methods of treatment of synucleinopathies, such as Parkinson's disease (PD), dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), pure autonomic failure (PAF), and multiple system atrophy (MSA) and the manufacture of medicaments for such treatment. In particular The subject matter provided in herein relates to a pharmaceutical compositions containing inhibitors of endonuclease G, and their use in the treatment of synucleinopathies, such as Parkinson's disease, dementia with Lewy bodies, pure autonomic failure, and multiple system atrophy and the manufacture of medicaments for such treatment. Furthermore the present invention relates to a method for the identification of compounds attenuating the synuclein toxicity, said method comprising evaluating the inhibitory action of said compound on the endonuclease G dependent apoptosis.01-19-2012

20090006279Automatic utility usage rate analysis methodology - An automatic method of which days/hours represent good candidates for reducing demand to achieve potential savings and the amount of demand reduction that can be achieved with a tolerable level of disruption to status quo operations. Demand interval data including utility usage rate (UUR) values is received from one or more utility monitoring devices, and are sorted in descending order. A percent difference is calculated for each UUR value relative to the previous one, and a cumulative percent difference accumulates the percent differences from the preceding rows. The average cumulative percent difference is divided by the total number of UUR values in the measured period to produce a ratio. The standard deviation of time is determined, and from those demand data associated with ratios greater than a ratio threshold and standard deviations less than a standard deviation threshold the demand reduction amount and the number of control hours are determined.01-01-2009
