20100270446Universal Adjustable Box Bracket - A box bracket includes mounting brackets with upper and lower lateral telescoping arms and a sliding mount. The mounting bracket includes an end piece for attaching to a vertical stud, and inner and outer lateral arms overlapping with arms of an opposing mounting bracket to form the telescoping arms. The mounting bracket may be used as a left or right mounting bracket. The sliding mount includes a forward facing face for mounting an electrical box and vertically spaced apart mouths on left and right sides of the sliding mount, the upper and lower telescoping arms passing through the mouths. The mouths are formed in mouth frames, and after positioning the sliding mounts, the mouth frames may be bent inward against the telescoping arms to hold the position of the sliding mount on the arms. One or more sliding mounts may reside on a single box bracket subject to stud spacing.10-28-2010

20090084571METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRE-FAB WIRING - A bracket and junction box assembly and method allows simplified wiring at a prefab production facility and at a construction site. A junction box including a detachable and reattachable rear cover plate is pre-assembled with a plaster ring, electrical device, and leads attached to the switch or outlet, at a prefab facility. A Metal Clad (MC) cable may be attached to the junction box and wires carried in the MC Cable may be connected to the leads. A mounting bracket is generally sandwiched between the junction box and the plaster ring for mounting to framing members at the construction site. Following assembly at the prefab facility, the prefab junction box is shipped to the construction site where the bracket and junction box assembly is mounted to framing members. Connections to wires carried by MC Cables are then facilitated by removing the rear cover plate to access the interior of the junction box.04-02-2009
20100084184Open Back Junction Box and Method for Pre-fab Wiring - A bracket and open back junction box assembly allows simplified wiring at a construction site. An open back junction box including a detachable and reattachable rear cover plate is pre-assembled with a plaster ring, electrical device, and leads, at a prefab facility. A Metal Clad (MC) cable may be attached to the open back junction box and wires carried in the MC Cable may be connected to the leads. A mounting bracket is generally sandwiched between the open back junction box and the plaster ring for mounting to framing members at the construction site. Following assembly at the prefab facility, the prefab open back junction box is shipped to the construction site where the bracket and open back junction box assembly is mounted to framing members. Connections to wires carried by MC Cables are then facilitated by removing the rear cover plate to access the open back junction box interior.04-08-2010
20100282933Universal Unimount - A junction box mounting bracket attaches to a vertical stud. A box mounting section is sandwiched between a junction box and a plaster ring. A stud attachment section includes screw holes for attaching to the face of the stud and an extending section reaches past the stud to allow attachment of a second junction box mounting bracket on an opposite side of the stud. The extending section further leverages the mounting bracket against a rear drywall surface to eliminate the need for the bracket to wrap around the vertical stud or to brace the junction box against a side surface of the stud. A ganging section reaches past the box mounting section for attachment to the extending section of an adjacent bracket. A narrow brace is attachable above or below the junction box to allow access to knock-outs on the side of the junction box opposite the stud.11-11-2010
20100330826Speed Wire Device - A speed wire device connects to standard screw terminals on traditional receptacle and switch devices. The speed wire device includes forked lugs positioned to engage screw terminal present on known traditional electrical receptacle and switch devices. The forked lugs engage the standard screw terminals and prevent miss-wiring during finally assembly after dry wall installation. The speed wire device may be a single piece device, or a two piece plug together device allowing simple “hot-swapping” of traditional receptacle and switch devices in applications were power must remain on, for example, in hospitals.12-30-2010

20090301738PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHING APPARATUS AND METHOD - A fire suppression device including a fire suppression agent generator. The device further includes trigger mechanism adapted to begin generation of the fire suppression agent from the fire suppression agent generator A container at least partially surrounds the fire suppression agent generator and the trigger mechanism, the container includes a discharge port that directs fire suppression agent in at least two opposed directions. In one example, the discharge port extends substantially around a perimeter of the container12-10-2009
20100147177Fluid energy delivery burst cartridge - A modified fluid delivery cartridge. A conventional straight-sided high pressure cartridge case is primed and then filled with solid propellant. A burst cup is inserted in the case mouth. The burst cup is preferably embossed with a cross or other shape to promote predictable rupture. A charge casing is provided which opens into a high pressure cartridge receiver bounded by an inner charge casing wall. The inner charge casing wall is provided with a step, in which the diameter of the high pressure cartridge receiver is reduced. The high pressure cartridge case is pressed into the receiver in the charge casing wall. As the high pressure cartridge case is being pressed into place, the straight wall of the case passes over the step in the inner charge casing wall, which deforms the straight wall to form a neck. This neck captured the burst cup within the high pressure cartridge case.06-17-2010
20100212529Drag minimizing projectile delivery system - A modified cartridge assembly including a projectile having a gas generator proximate its aft end. The projectile includes an aft closure having a cavity filled with gas generating material. The gas generating material is ignited around the time the projectile exits the weapon's muzzle. The gas generating material then burns while the projectile is in flight, spewing pressurized gas into the wake region immediately behind the projectile. The pressurized gas reduces the projectile's base drag.08-26-2010
20100242773PROJECTILE HAVING IGNIT ABLE PAYLOAD WITH DELAY COLUMN IGNITER - A modified projectile round which is configured to function with a propellant cartridge such as described in U.S. Pat. No. 7,004,074. The projectile assembly uses a High-Low gas pressure cartridge to launch the projectile. When the high pressure cartridge is ignited, hot propellant gases rupture a burst cup and shoot propellant gases toward the aft end of the projectile. The hot propellant gases impinge against a delay carrier located in the aft end of the projectile. The contents of the delay carrier are thereby ignited. The delay carrier includes one or more delay columns ultimately terminating in an igniter charge. The delay columns burn as the projectile is in flight. A specified amount of time later, the igniter charge ignites an ignitable payload—such as a marker flare candle.09-30-2010
20110056711PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHING APPARATUS AND METHOD - A fire suppression device including a fire suppression agent generator. The device further includes trigger mechanism adapted to begin generation of the fire suppression agent from the fire suppression agent generator. A container at least partially surrounds the fire suppression agent generator and the trigger mechanism, the container includes a discharge port that directs fire suppression agent in at least two opposed directions. In one example, the discharge port extends substantially around a perimeter of the container.03-10-2011
20110174187Door breaching projectile system - A modified 40 mm grenade round designed to breach doors without throwing a substantial amount of shrapnel into a building's interior. The modified round includes a standoff device located on its forward end. The standoff device detonates the explosive charge within the projectile before the nose of the projectile actually strikes the target. This early detonation throws a pressure wave again the door's exterior, forcing the door inward. Shrapnel produced by the detonation remains primarily outside the door. Thus, the modified projectile is able to blow open a door without throwing a significant amount of shrapnel into a building's interior.07-21-2011
