20090001244ENGINE MOUNT SYSTEM FOR A MARINE OUTBOARD ENGINE - A marine outboard engine has a cowling, an engine, a driveshaft operatively connected to the crankshaft, a gear case, a transmission disposed in the gear case and connected to the driveshaft, a propeller shaft disposed generally perpendicular to the driveshaft and operatively connected to the transmission, and a bladed rotor connected to the propeller shaft. A pair of engine mounts are operatively connected to the engine. Each engine mount defines an engine mount working axis. A steering shaft is operatively pivotally connected to the engine mounts. The engine mount working axes are generally perpendicular to the steering axis and pass through the steering shaft. A stern bracket is operatively pivotally connected to the steering shaft for mounting the outboard engine to a boat. A marine outboard engine where primary axes of the engine mounts pass through the steering shaft is also disclosed.01-01-2009
20100112877SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COOLING A MARINE OUTBOARD ENGINE - A marine outboard engine is described, having an engine disposed in a cowling. The engine has a cooling system. A first pump is disposed inside the cowling below a water line of the outboard engine. The first pump is continuously driven by the engine during operation of the engine. The first pump is a centrifugal pump having an inlet in fluid communication with an exterior of the marine outboard engine below the water line and an outlet in fluid communication with the cooling system. A second pump is disposed inside the cowling below the water line. The second pump has an inlet in fluid communication with an exterior of the marine outboard engine below the water line and an outlet in fluid communication with the cooling system. An electric motor is operatively connected to the second pump for selectively driving the second pump during operation of the engine.05-06-2010

20110095824RF POWER AMPLIFIER INTEGRATED CIRCUIT AND UNIT CELL - A novel RF power amplifier integrated circuit (PA IC), unit cell, and method for amplifying RF signals are disclosed. One embodiment of a PA IC includes at least two linear arrays comprising transistor device units, and at least one linear array comprising capacitors. The transistor device units include source nodes that are jointly coupled to a source bus, and selected gate nodes that are jointly coupled to a gate bus. First electrodes of the capacitors are also jointly coupled to the source bus, and second electrodes of the capacitors are jointly coupled to the gate bus. Each linear array comprising capacitors is disposed between at least two linear arrays comprising transistor device units. In one embodiment, the PA IC includes unit cells. In some embodiments, each unit cell comprises two transistor device units and one or more capacitors. The capacitors are disposed between the transistor device units. The unit cells are disposed in linear arrays so that the transistor device units are disposed in linear arrays and the capacitors are disposed in linear arrays.04-28-2011
20110181360Stacked linear power amplifier with capacitor feedback and resistor isolation - A power amplifier with stacked, serially connected, field effect transistors is described. DC control voltage inputs are fed to the gates of each transistor. Capacitors are coupled to the transistors. The inputs and the capacitors are controlled to minimize generation of non-linearities of each field effect transistor and/or to maximize cancellation of distortions between the field effect transistors of the power amplifier in order to improve linearity of the power amplifier output.07-28-2011

20090162416Polymer implants for timed release of drugs with particular emphasis on ovulation or spermiation of fish - An improved cellulose acetate implant is able to more cost effectively provide ovulation of female fish. The time required for a production run of implants in CA is about 2-3 hours rather than days of the previous procedure. The method of generating the improved implant includes dissolving a hormone in water, adding acetone to the solution, adding cellulose acetate to the solution, mixing the solution, generating the CA/LHRH from the solution such as by extrusion and processing the CA/LHRH such as drying and cutting the CA/LHRH into strips of improved implants. Other polymers, substances and additives are also able to be used. The improved implants are then able to be inserted into fish at the proper time to increase ovulation which ultimately results in an increased number of fish.06-25-2009
