20120075139Method and Apparatus For Tracking or Tracing The Movement of Shipping Containers - A covert device for tracing or tracking the movement of a shipping container has a primary satellite receiver responsive to external satellite signals to obtain positional information, a secondary receiver for obtaining coarse positional information from terrestrial radio signals, and a memory. A processor processes the available positional information to obtain a fix in response to an event and stores the fix in association with the event in memory. The receivers preferably use the shipping container at least in part as an antenna. When the secondary receiver is an FM broadcast antenna, the gap between the doors of the shipping container can serve as a slotted antenna.03-29-2012

20110075671Providing Dynamic Quality of Service for Applications Accessed Over a Network - Methods, systems, and computer program products for providing dynamic Quality of Service (QoS) for connections to applications over a network are provided. The method receives a message associated with the application, wherein the message includes information identifying the connection to the application and information about the application. The method then determines, based on a set of rules defined for the application, a QoS level to apply to the connection, and applies the determined QoS level to the connection. The QoS applied to the connection corresponds to the application and not the QoS associated with a personal or home account QoS that would otherwise be applied to the connection.03-31-2011

20110213450MEDICAL DEVICE DELIVERY SYSTEM - A medical device delivery system for remotely deploying a stent or similar medical device is disclosed. The medical device delivery system includes a delivery device having a handle engaged to an elongated barrel with a puller arrangement attached to an elongated outer catheter defining a distal end engaged to a catheter tip that collectively encapsulates the medical device. The handle includes a trigger actuator operatively engaged to a drive mechanism with a lead screw that drives the puller arrangement along the barrel. During deployment, the trigger actuator is actuated by the user, which activates the drive mechanism and rotates the lead screw for moving the puller arrangement to automatically deploy the medical device. In manual operation, the user disengages the lead screw from the puller arrangement and manually moves the puller arrangement toward the handle to manually deploy the medical device rather than actuate the trigger actuator.09-01-2011

20080197245Apparatus for Holding Packaging Bags - An apparatus for holding stacks of plastic packaging bags, including a wicket and a securing device for securing the packaging bags to the wicket. The wicket includes a pair of elongated leg members, and a cross-member connecting together the leg members. Each of the leg members has a series of locking portions for selectively locking the securing device to the leg members at pre-determined distances from the cross-member. The securing device includes a pair of securing buttons having a bore sized and shaped to be slidable onto the leg members over the locking portions. The locking portions are pairs of aligned locking tabs shaped to prevent the securing buttons from sliding back off the leg members. A cartridge comprising a plurality of wickets coupled together by break away tabs can be used to automate a bag-stacking operation. The wicket and securing buttons are made to be recycled along with the bags lips left after bags are torn off, reducing waste. The wicket and buttons also provide improved locking of bags, and one wicket is capable of holding varying quantities of bags. A cross-member and securing device having a plurality of apertures allows a pair of elongated leg members to be formed into wickets of various sizes to accommodate different packaging bags.08-21-2008

20080236111Bitless Bridle with Crossover Reinstrap Stabilizer - A bitless bridle with crossover reinstrap stabilizer in English and Western style for riding, driving and training horses and like animals that achieves improved turning and slowing/stopping by threading reinstraps through a crossover reinstrap stabilizer under the horse's jaw, lining the inside of the noseband with rubber gripping or similar textured material, and improved arrangement of component straps. In both styles, a single crownpiece strap over the poll attaches on each side of the face to reinstraps that pass across the animal's cheek, through a crossover rein strap stabilizer under its jaw, then through rings attached to a noseband, and finally to reins. Pulling on a single rein places pressure on the reinstrap on the cheek of the opposite side of the animal's head, causing it to turn in the direction pulled. Pulling on a both reins places pressure on the noseband and the poll, causing the animal to slow or stop.10-02-2008
