20110038578CAGE FOR A ROLLING BEARING - A cage for rolling bodies of a rolling bearing, which has a first side ring, a second side ring axially spaced from the first side ring, and at least two webs, which connect the first side ring to the second side ring and among each other form a pocket for one of the rolling bodies. At least one of the webs has a first web part disposed at the first side ring and a second web part disposed at the second side ring, and a center web part offset with respect to the first and second web parts. The cage is configured such that it can withstand mechanical stresses via a support element which is provided and which supports the first web part and the second web part and connects the two side rings.02-17-2011

20100104813EMBOSSED MONOLAYER PARTICLEBOARDS AND METHODS OF PREPARATION THEREOF - There is provided an embossed particleboard, which can be used, for example, as a siding. The particleboard comprises a monolayer embossed particleboard including wood particles having an average size of less than 4 mm, a resin, and optionally a sizing agent. There is also provided a method of manufacturing a wood-based product such as a siding. The method comprises embossing and pressing in a single step a monolayer mat comprising wood particles having an average size of less than 4 mm and a resin, so as to obtain an embossed monolayer particleboard siding.04-29-2010

20080300574Intravenous Catheter Insertion Device and Method of Use - An intravenous catheter insertion device and method of use are described. The insertion device coordinates movement of an access needle, a coaxial intravenous catheter and a flexible safety guidewire. A vein is punctured with the access needle, then an actuation member on the insertion device is used to advance the safety guidewire into the vein. The safety guidewire allows the access needle and the intravenous catheter to be safely advanced into the vein. Then, the actuation member is actuated to simultaneously withdraw the access needle and the safety guidewire, leaving only the intravenous catheter in the vein. The intravenous catheter is then disconnected from the insertion device and connected to a source of intravenous fluid, medication, etc.12-04-2008

20110257563METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ABLATING TISSUE - A tissue ablation system for treating fibrillation in a patient comprises a steerable interventional catheter having an energy source that emits a beam of energy to ablate tissue thereby creating a conduction block for aberrant electrical pathways. The system also includes a handle disposed near a proximal end of the interventional catheter and has an actuation mechanism for steering the interventional catheter. A console allows the system to be controlled and provides power to the system, and a display pod is electrically coupled with the console. The display pod has a display panel to display system information to a user and allows the user to control the system. A catheter pod is releasably coupled with the handle electrically and mechanically, and also electrically coupled with the display pod.10-20-2011

20090312755SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR POSITIONING AN ELONGATE MEMBER WITH RESPECT TO AN ANATOMICAL STRUCTURE - Methods and apparatus for an ablation device used in the treatment of atrial fibrillation comprise an elongate shaft and a positioning mechanism adjacent the distal end of the shaft. The positioning mechanism is adapted to facilitate location of an anatomic structure and also to anchor the elongate shaft adjacent the anatomic structure. The positioning mechanism comprises an electrode for stimulating the anatomic structure as well as sensing electrical signals. Also, an energy delivery element is adjacent the distal end of the shaft and is adapted to stimulate the anatomic structure and create a zone of ablation that blocks abnormal electrical activity thereby reducing or eliminating atrial fibrillation in the patient.12-17-2009
20100125198SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ABLATING BODY TISSUE - A transducer subassembly with combined imaging and therapeutic capabilities is disclosed. The subassembly includes heat sinks that are configured to maintain the transducer at a low operating temperature so that the transducer operates at high efficiency and also can handle a wider range of frequencies. The subassembly is also configured to allow cooling fluid to flow past the transducer element. One heat sink in the subassembly also acts as an acoustic matching layer and another heat sink acts as a backing. Alternatively, the second heat sink which acts as a backing is optional. The transducer is configured to transmit at one power level for imaging, and at a second power level for ablating. The transducer may comprise sub-elements transmitting at different power levels. The subassembly may be operated at one power level for imaging and a second power level for ablating.05-20-2010

20080199299METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR HANDS-FREE DISPOSAL OF MEDICAL WASTE PRODUCTS - A portable medical waste disposal assembly that offers convenience and safety during use, disposal and maintenance of the disposal assembly. The portable and sanitizable medical waste disposal assembly includes a waste receptacle mounted within a unitary frame providing increased strength and stability to the disposal assembly so as to facilitate transport and sanitization. A positive closure system mounts to the unitary frame and operably interconnects to a slidable lid on the waste receptacle such that the waste receptacle is maintained in a closed disposition unless specifically opened by a user. The positive closure system can be adapted so as to adjustably retain the waste receptacle within the unitary frame while allowing for quick release of the waste receptacle at a time of disposal of the receptacle's contents.08-21-2008
