IN-CONTEXT EXACT (ICE) MATCHING - Methods, systems and program product are disclosed for determining a matching level of a text lookup segment with a plurality of source texts in a translation memory in terms of context. In particular, embodiments of the present invention determines any exact matches for the lookup segment in the plurality of source texts, and determines, in the case that at least one exact match is determined, that a respective exact match is an in-context exact (ICE) match for the lookup segment in the case that a context of the lookup segment matches that of the respective exact match. The degree of context matching required can be predetermined, and results prioritized. The invention also includes methods, systems and program products for storing a translation pair of source text and target text in a translation memory including context, and the translation memory so formed. The invention ensures that content is translated the same as previously translated content and reduces translator intervention. | 10-14-2010

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PRODUCING PUREED FOOD - A method, device, and knife system for producing purëed, cooked foodstuffs from piece-form raw material. The method includes pre-chopping of the piece-form raw material in a pre-chopping unit, cooking of the pre-chopped raw material in a cooking plant, and final processing of the cooked product in a final-processing unit. Before cooking, the piece-form raw material is cut into small pieces by the pre-chopping unit such that a pumpable mass is produced from the piece-form raw material. | 03-15-2012

Oscillating Circuit - An oscillating circuit includes an analog oscillation element. The oscillating circuit includes at least one analog-to-digital conversion device. A method is for operating an oscillating circuit, in which a mechanical oscillator oscillates at a natural frequency. The oscillation amplitude is measured and digitized. A digital control signal is generated from this with the aid of a digital amplitude controller. A driving signal is generated, in turn, from the digital control signal, the driving signal driving the mechanical oscillator with the aid of a drive unit. This control loop stabilizes the oscillation amplitude. | 12-04-2008
Method for ascertaining a rotational direction of a rotating body, and wheel sensor module - In a method for ascertaining a rotational direction of a rotating body, one rotational direction and one rotational speed value which indicates the rotational frequency of the rotating body are ascertained in each of multiple measurements. The rotational speed values of the multiple measurements are compared to each other, and a rotational direction of the rotating body is ascertained from the measured rotational directions and the comparison of the rotational speed values. | 04-07-2011
SYSTEM FOR CHECKING A PROGRAM MEMORY OF A PROCESSING UNIT - A system for checking a program memory) of a processing unit includes a check module, and the processing unit is made up of an instruction counter connected to the check module. The check module has a register connected to a first changeover switch that sets the register content. In a system that allows for the instruction addresses of the entire program memory to be checked, the instruction counter contains an ancillary counter, which runs through the instruction address space of the program memory independently of the program code during normal operation and which is connected to the register. | 10-27-2011

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TREATING WATER AND UTILIZING A MEMBRANE FILTERING SYSTEM - A method and system is provided for treating wastewater. In one process, wastewater is directed into a treatment tank and biologically treated. The biologically treated wastewater is directed as mixed liquor from the treatment tank to a bottom portion of a downstream filtration tank having at least one submerged membrane module that extends across substantially the entire cross sectional area of the filtration tank mixed liquor is directed from the bottom of the filtration tank upwardly into the membrane module such that substantially all of the mixed liquor received in the bottom of the filtration tank flows through the membrane module. As the mixed liquor flows vertically through the membrane module, the method includes inducing at least some of the mixed liquor through walls of one or more membrane filters that form a part of the membrane module, producing a permeate stream. The remaining mixed liquor passing through and from the membrane module is referred to as a non-permeate stream and the non-permeate stream, or at least a substantial portion thereof, is recirculated to the treatment tank. The filtration tank is sized relative to the membrane module and the process is carried out such that there is no substantial recycle of mixed liquor in the filtration tank itself. Although mixed liquor may be recirculated from the filtration tank back to the treatment tank and then back to the filtration tank and so forth and so on, once the mixed liquor in the filtration tank makes one pass through the membrane module the mixed liquor is recycled back to the treatment tank and generally not permitted to be recycled back through the membrane module without first returning to the treatment tank. | 12-10-2009

HYDRODYNAMIC CLUTCH - A hydrodynamic clutch includes an impeller and a turbine wheel which jointly form a toroidal working chamber that is or can be filled with a working medium. A throttle plate is provided which can be moved in the axial direction of the hydrodynamic clutch in order to be optionally introduced into the working chamber and/or be displaced within the working chamber. The throttle plate extends in the area of a central diameter of the working chamber in the circumferential direction of the hydrodynamic clutch. The intake end of the throttle plate extends parallel or substantially parallel to the axis of rotation of the hydrodynamic clutch from the perspective of an axial section across the hydrodynamic clutch, the working medium flowing against the intake end of the throttle plate in a circular flow. The throttle plate can be moved from an inactive position in which the same has no or only a slight throttling effect on the circular flow of the working medium in the working chamber into an active position in which the same has a comparatively much greater throttling effect on the circular flow, the inactive position being located in the area of the separation gap between the impeller and the turbine wheel. From the perspective of an axial section across the hydrodynamic clutch, the working chamber covers the entire area, without having a center that is delimited relative to the remaining working chamber by way of a wall, such that the throttle plate is directly enclosed by the flow zone of the working chamber in both the active and inactive position of the throttle plate without mounting a wall therebetween. | 12-24-2009
