Other embodiments of this invention include the methods for the use of peptides to promote neuronal migration, neurite outgrowth, neuronal proliferation, neural differentiation, neuronal survival and/or trophoblast proliferation, trophoblast migration and trophoblase survival. NRP compounds may be administered directly to a subject or to a subject's cells by a variety of means including orally, intraperitoneally, intravascularly or indirectly via a replicable vehicle. NRP compounds can be formulated into pharmaceutically acceptable dosage forms for therapeutic use. Kits containing pre-determined doses of an NRP can be used to conveniently store, prepare and administer an NRP to a subject in need thereof.05-27-2010
20110052528Neuroprotective macrocyclic compounds and methods for their use - Embodiments of this invention provide novel peptidomimetics that contain a macrocycle. Such compounds are neuroprotective and have utility as therapeutic agents for treatment of diseases, injuries and other conditions characterised by neuronal degeneration and/or death. Compounds are also useful for manufacture of medicaments useful for treatment of such conditions.03-03-2011
20110098228SYNTHETIC ANALOGUES OF NEURAL REGENERATION PEPTIDES - Embodiments of this invention include synthetic compounds (NRP analogues) of peptides termed neural regeneration peptides (NRPs). NRP analogues are made by substituting amino acids in the native peptide sequence, modifying amino acids chemically, by replacing amino acids with synthetic moieties, by stabilizing β-turns, acetylation of terminal glycine residues or by cyclization. NRP analogues can be used to treat a variety of conditions involving degeneration of neural cells, and includes treating disorders of the nervous system, including peripheral neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, neurotoxin-induced neurodegeneration, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.04-28-2011

20090300098SYNDICATING ENTERPRISE APPLICATION SYSTEM DATA - Systems and methods are provided that syndicate enterprise application system (EAS) data. A method includes creating a feed for an EAS module, generating a news item for the feed, and publishing the news item on the feed. Accordingly, employees in an organization are able to easily become aware of information about their organization by tightly coupling a syndication system to human resources management. The sharing of information throughout the organization creates a more inclusive and cohesive working environment. In one embodiment, the EAS data is enterprise resource planning (ERP) data.12-03-2009
20090319595Presence Mapping - Systems, methods, and associated software for detecting presence are described with respect to a number of embodiments of the present disclosure. More particularly, presence information can be displayed on a floor plan, according to the teachings herein. In one implementation, a method for monitoring the presence of a person is described in which the name of a person of interest is received from a requestor. The requestor and the person of interest are both associated with an organization. The method also includes retrieving information regarding a first work area associated with the person of interest and reproducing a section of a floor plan containing at least the first work area. Furthermore, the method includes sending the section of the floor plan to the requestor. The method also includes retrieving information regarding the person of interest associated with the first work area. A name field, which includes the name and the presence status of the person of interest, is sent to the requestor.12-24-2009
20100005085CREATING RELATIONSHIP MAPS FROM ENTERPRISE APPLICATION SYSTEM DATA - Systems and methods are provided that create a relationship map using enterprise application system (EAS) data. Relationship data is automatically collected from EAS modules. The EAS modules may be enterprise resource planning (ERP) modules. A relationship map is then generated from the collected relationship data. Thus, a representation of formal and informal working relationships among employees in an organization is built, where such relationship data was previously too onerous to capture manually. Further, this representation may be visually illustrated to a user, enabling the user to navigate among the relationships of their fellow coworkers.01-07-2010
20100005098COMBINED DIRECTORY OF PERSONAL AND ENTERPRISE APPLICATION SYSTEM DATA - Systems and methods are provided that combine private contact information and Enterprise Application System (“EAS”) data in a directory. An embodiment includes receiving private contact information regarding a first employee from a second employee, storing the private contact information regarding the first employee on an EAS server, and displaying the private contact information to the second employee upon request, wherein the private contact information is viewable only to the second employee.01-07-2010
20100011361Managing Task Requests - Systems and methods are disclosed herein for managing task requests. An end user device include one or several possible implementation for managing task requests. Specifically, the end user device comprises a processing device and a memory device, which is configured to store a task request managing program. The processing device is configured to execute the task request managing program. The processing device is configured to analyze a string of characters of a natural language request from a user to extract a requested task and a requested object. The processing device is further configured to check whether the user is permitted to initiate the requested task on the requested object. In addition, the processing device is configured to perform the requested task on the requested object when it is determined that the user is permitted to initiate the requested task on the requested object.01-14-2010

20110040482LIDARS - A Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) apparatus and method are disclosed having a rotatable light source enabled to emit a light ray, the light ray being emitted at a plurality of angular intervals; a reflection device, which can be parabolic in shape, and an analysis device for calculating a position at which one or more features are present based on the angle that the light ray was emitted and the time delay associated with the received reflected light, from a feature, wherein the analysis device takes into account the reflection of the light ray from the reflection device. In this manner, light rays may be reflected from heading in one direction to improve the resolution of the LIDAR in a second direction. Furthermore, where a parabolic reflector is used, positions of features can be calculated directly in a Cartesian coordinate system. Autonomous vehicles can use a LIDAR such as described herein to improve forward looking resolution in collision avoidance systems or terrain selection systems.02-17-2011
