20090000385Excitation Test Method and Apparatus for Vehicle - A vehicle excitation testing system and method can include a device for simulating a vehicular motion and vehicular vibration and then measuring response. The system is designed to test front and/or rear wheel sections of a vehicle. The testing system can include a vehicle suspension system including a wheel and chassis, an excitation actuator connected to the suspension system, and a dummy or a real vehicle body linked to the suspension system and having a frame. The frame can be positively attached to the ground surface or floor or other similar isolated and stable base surface. Measuring devices can be connected to the frame, suspension and/or wheels. When the vehicle is excited to simulate road and other conditions, the wheels, suspension system and the vehicle body vibrate. Measurement of these transmitted vibrations can be studied in order to determine how to best control unwanted or unnecessary vibrations in the vehicle.01-01-2009

20110313630Calibrating transmission motor torque - The described system and method allow a controller to calibrate a transmission variator of a continuously variable transmission for torque control by obtaining static and dynamic qualities and parameters of the variator through an automated calibration procedure. The system and method employ a pair of transmission mode configurations and operational configurations in combination to obtain system-specific information. In this way, the system is able to calibrate out the system variations to provide effective feed forward torque control of the continuously variable transmission. In an embodiment, a first calibration operation is performed while the transmission is neutralized and a second calibration operation is performed while the transmission is engaged in a mode providing a fixed variator output speed.12-22-2011

20090071144Actuator control system implementing adaptive flow control - An actuator control system is disclosed. The actuator control system may have a pump and at least one actuator. The actuator control system may further have an actuator valve configured to control the at least one actuator. The actuator control system may also have a pump pressure sensor configured to determine a pump pressure value and a load pressure sensor configure to determine a load pressure value. The actuator control system may additionally have a controller configured to receive the pump pressure value and the load pressure value. The controller may further be configured to compare the pump pressure value and the load pressure value, and selectively implement a primary control strategy and a secondary control strategy based on the comparison.03-19-2009
20100024410Hydraulic system having regeneration modulation - A hydraulic system for a machine is disclosed. The hydraulic system may have an actuator with a first chamber and a second chamber. The hydraulic system may also have a first valve, a second valve, a third valve, and an operator input device displaceable from a neutral position to generate a signal indicative of a desired movement of the actuator. The hydraulic system may further have a controller configured to open the first and third valves by amounts related to the signal to pass fluid, and open the second valve by an amount related to the signal to pass fluid when the signal indicates a desire for increased actuator velocity. The third valve may continue to open during opening of the second valve.02-04-2010

20100318884CLOCK AND RESET SYNCHRONIZATION OF HIGH-INTEGRITY LOCKSTEP SELF-CHECKING PAIRS - An apparatus comprises first and second modules configured to operate in a lockstep mode and a reset mode. Each of the first and second modules is configured to asynchronously enter the reset mode when a parent reset signal is asserted at that module. Each of the first and second modules is configured to, in response to the asserted parent reset signal being negated at that module, indicate to the other module that that module is ready to exit reset mode and exit the reset mode when the other module has also indicated that the other module is ready to exit reset mode.12-16-2010

20080219883TOOTHBRUSH SANITIZER - A toothbrush sanitizer includes at least one basket for holding a toothbrush, a housing that receives the at least one basket, and a heating element connected to the housing. The basket(s) can also accommodate a toothbrush head from a known electric toothbrush. The basket can be completely removable from the housing so that the basket can be separately cleaned from the housing. The heating element heats the toothbrush to sanitize the bristles. According to an alternative embodiment, the toothbrush sanitizer can include a first toothbrush basket, a second toothbrush basket, a housing that receives the baskets, and a heating element connected with the housing. The second basket receives the first basket.09-11-2008
20100226836SANITIZER - A sanitizing device includes a base, a container supported by the base, a heating element supported by the base, and a blower assembly supported by the base. The container can include a base wall, a side wall, and a hot air inlet vertically offset above the base wall. The blower assembly can be situated with respect to the heating element and the hot air inlet to direct air over the heating element and through the hot air inlet into the container.09-09-2010
