20090243204Method for Supplying a Web of Material of Predetermined Length to a Printing Press For Producing a Printed Product - A printing device, which is usable to produce printed products, is supplied with a material web of a predetermined length. The length of the required web is defined by the printed product to be produced. The material web is assembled from several partial webs, having defined lengths. The supply of these partial webs to the printing device is provided automatically with the use of a material management system. A control unit of this system determines the length for the partial webs that have been chosen for a certain production request. These partial webs are sent to the printing device in a certain sequence so that the last one of these partial webs to be used has the least web length of the several partial webs. The minimum length of the last partial web is determined by an end of the partial web finishing the production. This sequence is determined, at the earliest, after the cycle time has ended. The cycle time is a time frame in which a material web, or a partial material web is prepared for its respective use in the printing device.10-01-2009

20110212800Pulley - A pulley comprises a hollow-cylinder support element rotatably supporting a hollow body about a rotational axis and having first and second dome-shaped axial ends. An attachment element has a central axis extending in an axial direction and a complementary dome-shaped axial end abutting the first dome-shaped axial end of the support element. A rod extends within the support element and has a first axial end fixedly connectable with the complementary dome-shaped axial end of the attachment element. A fixing element is connected with a second axial end of the rod and has a complementary dome-shaped axial end abutting the second dome-shaped axial end of the support element. The rotational axis of the hollow body is angularly pivotable relative to the central axis at the fixing element. One of the first and second dome-shaped axial ends of the support element is concave and the other is convex.09-01-2011

20110103801METHOD FOR PRODUCING TERAHERTZ ELECTROMAGNETIC CARRIER WAVES - A method for producing an electromagnetic carrier wave in the frequency range between 0.1 and 10 terahertz that is suitable for the wireless transmission of data includes generating, by an electromagnetic pump wave, at least two mixing waves with a defined frequency difference, the pump wave being configured to constitute one of the mixing waves; and producing an electromagnetic carrier wave by frequency mixing the mixing waves.05-05-2011
20110110674METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROCESSING TERAHERTZ WAVES - A method for processing received electromagnetic radiation includes receiving electromagnetic radiation having a plurality of carrier waves in the frequency range between 0.1 and 10 terahertz and having modulated onto the carrier waves information with a signal frequency of less than 50 GHz. The received radiation is filtered with a filter that is tunable in the frequency range from 0.1 to 10 terahertz so as to obtain at least one carrier wave as a terahertz signal. The terahertz signal is provided to a detection circuit that is sensitive to the terahertz signal frequency.05-12-2011
20110142452WIRELESS DATA TRANSMISSION BY WAY OF TERATHERTZ WAVES - The invention relates to a method for the wireless data, transmission between a transmitter and a receiver, the data being modulated as signals onto an electromagnetic carrier wave in the range of 0.1 and 10 terahertz. The carrier wave emitted by the transmitter is concentrated in the direction of the receiver, the transmitter being oriented towards the receiver by means of an automatic adjusting device and the adjusting device using wireless communication between the transmitter and the receiver for said orientation.06-16-2011
20110187975METHOD FOR CONTROL OF ELECTROMAGNETIC TERAHERTZ CARRIER WAVES - A method for influencing electromagnetic radiation in a frequency range between 0.1 and 10 terahertz includes providing a planar modulator having a matrix of at least 10×10 individual, active planar elements. Each planar element has a diameter between 5 μm and 100 μm. The planar elements are individually controlled using a central control unit such that each planar element assumes a respective one of at least two states in accordance with the control so as to influence the radiation.08-04-2011
