The container includes an interior bottom surface and defines an opening near an upper portion of the container. A cap can be placed onto the container to close the container, and then removed to open the container. The straw includes a shape that operates as a spring operates to create two states: a resting or expanded state and a compressed state. In the resting state of the straw, the overall distance from the first end to the second end is greater than the distance from the interior bottom surface of the container to the opening of the container. The straw is placed into the container and the container is sealed forcing the straw into a compressed state. Upon removal of the cap, the straw returns to a resting state in which the upper end protrudes from the container opening.11-25-2010

The active MUGFET structures comprise transistors that change conductivity depending upon voltages within gates of the active MUGFET structures. Conversely, the inactive MUGFET fill structures comprise passive devices that do not change conductivity irrespective of voltages within gates of the inactive MUGFET fill structures. The gates of the active MUGFET structures are parallel to the gates of the inactive MUGFET fill structures, and the fins of the active MUGFET structures are the same size as the fins of the inactive MUGFET fill structures. The active MUGFET structures have the same pitch as the gates of the inactive MUGFET fill structures. The gates of the active MUGFET structures comprise active doping agents, but the inactive MUGFET fill structures do not contain the active doping agents.03-05-2009
20090315188SILICON-ON-INSULATOR STRUCTURES FOR THROUGH VIA IN SILICON CARRIERS - A silicon-on-insulator (SOI) structure is provided for forming through vias in a silicon wafer carrier structure without backside lithography. The SOI structure includes the silicon wafer carrier structure bonded to a silicon substrate structure with a layer of buried oxide and a layer of nitride separating these silicon structures. Vias are formed in the silicon carrier structure and through the oxide layer to the nitride layer and the walls of the via are passivated. The vias are filled with a filler material of either polysilicon or a conductive material. The substrate structure is then etched back to the nitride layer and the nitride layer is etched back to the filler material. Where the filler material is polysilicon, the polysilicon is etched away forming an open via to the top surface of the carrier wafer structure. The via is then backfilled with conductive material.12-24-2009
