20090041528Lip product applicator - An improved lip product applicator for applying a pasty or semi soft lip product to a user's lips comprising a body is described. The body has a product reservoir extending therefrom. The product reservoir is generally hollow and has a tip extending from an end of the reservoir opposite the body. The reservoir has a means for discharging product contained therein through an orifice in said tip. The tip is made of a clear material that permits the user to view the color of the product contained therein. The tip is also tapered and retains its tapered shape as lip product is applied to a user's lips.02-12-2009

20090259883ROBUST SYNCHRONIZATION OF DIAGNOSTIC INFORMATION AMONG POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULES - An automotive system has a primary control module, such as an engine control module (ECM) configured for connection to a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL), and a secondary control module, such as a transmission control module (TCM), each in communication with each other over a bus. Each control module includes a respective diagnostic data status record. Each record includes a pending fault field, a confirmed fault field and an MIL control status field. An improved method for synchronizing the diagnostic data contained in the respective status records includes an extended status signal set that is used to communicate over the bus. The set includes a diagnostic testing complete signal, a fault present signal and a MIL request signal indicative of a request to illuminate the MIL. Logic in the receiving control module (ECM) interprets the extended status signal set to properly synchronize its diagnostic data status record with the TCM's, including both pending and confirmed faults.10-15-2009

20090171908Natural language minimally explicit grammar pattern - The invention utilizes a known syntax and concept model to enable a user to make a reliable and accurate database query with words that more closely resemble the user's natural language and less like a structured database query. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims. 37 CFR 1.72(07-02-2009
20090171912Disambiguation of a structured database natural language query - The invention compares a user-generated inquiry to a known data source in order to present a user with a choice of valid natural language inquiries. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.07-02-2009
20090171923Domain-specific concept model for associating structured data that enables a natural language query - The invention defines a domain specific concept model that is flexible, intuitive, and which easily integrates into disparate, but similarly architected, domain-specific databases. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract that will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims. 37 CFR 1.72(b).07-02-2009
20090171924Auto-complete search menu - The invention builds a natural-language query by associating a auto-complete menu system with a domain-specific concept model, generating a command displayed in a list of proper commands, in a auto-complete fashion to the user (the list of proper commands comprising all elements of a set of proper commands), detecting a command choice of the user, and displaying the command choice in the entry area upon determining that the command choice is a proper command, and generating a target concept in a similar manner.

20090025871INFRARED PREHEATING FOR CARTON MATERIAL SEALING - An infrared preheater preheats the first and second surfaces of an edge-proximate portion of a package that is formed from a polymeric material. The first and second surfaces on opposing sides of a sheet of material in which the surfaces are sealed to one another or to another element at the edge-proximate portion. The preheater includes an infrared energy emitting element disposed to emit infrared energy directly toward the first surface of the edge-proximate portion to preheat the first surface of the edge-proximate portion. An energy reflective element is disposed in opposing relation to the energy emitting element. The energy reflective element is positioned such that at least a portion of the energy that is emitted from the emitting element that does not strike the first surface of the package strikes the energy reflective element and is reflected back to the second surface to preheat the second surface of the edge-proximate portion. A method for preheating the first and second surfaces of the edge-proximate area is also disclosed.01-29-2009

20080303310AERODYNAMIC DRAG REDUCING APPARATUS - An aerodynamic drag reducing apparatus is provided for use with vehicles having surfaces that are not streamlined. The apparatus including an exterior cover supported by moveable frames which in turn are supported by sets of supporting linkages. The moveable frames extend rearward and together with the exterior cover form a drag reducing shape for use in a drag reducing configuration and collapse for use in a space saving configuration.12-11-2008
20090140542Aerodynamic Drag Reducing Apparatus - An aerodynamic drag reducing apparatus is adaptable for use with vehicles having downstream surfaces that are not streamlined. The apparatus consists of a series of nesting shapes and/or frameworks that extend rearward for use in a drag reducing configuration and collapse for use in a space saving configuration.06-04-2009
20090212594AERODYNAMIC DRAG REDUCING APPARATUS - A drag reducing apparatus is provided for use with vehicles having surfaces that are not streamlined. The apparatus includes an exterior cover that forms a drag reducing shape when the apparatus is fully extended. The apparatus can be retracted to a space saving configuration. A scissors linkage extends and retracts the apparatus. The scissors linkage can be motorized, and the motor can extend the scissors linkage by turning in a first direction and can retract the apparatus by turning in a second direction. The scissors linkage can hold the exterior cover taut when the apparatus is fully extended. The scissors linkage can support the exterior cover at intermediate locations when the apparatus is not fully extended. The apparatus can include support linkages and intermediate moveable members that support the exterior cover and define the drag reducing shape.08-27-2009
20100123333Aerodynamic Drag Reducing Apparatus - An aerodynamic drag reducing apparatus for use with vehicles having downstream surfaces that are not streamlined. The apparatus includes folding panels that extend rearward for use in a drag reducing configuration and collapse for use in a space saving configuration.05-20-2010
