20120104375METHOD OF MANUFACTURING ELECTRICAL CONTACTS ON ORGANIC SEMICONDUCTORS - A method for producing electrical contacts on organic semiconductors is described. The method, which involves low energy impact and can be carried out under ambient conditions, comprises covering the relevant surface of the semiconductor with a layer of an appropriate solvent: a metal leaf having an appropriate thickness and work function containing metal oxide impurities is deposited onto the area treated in this manner. Electrical contacts with elevated conductivity are obtained by evaporating the solvent. One embodiment of the invention describes a family of crystalline semiconductors, preferably based on perylene or α-quaterthiophene, provided with the electrical contacts according to the method described herein and provided with particular structural characteristics. The use of metal leaf satisfying the above-stated requirements (for example imitation gold leaf, gold leaf etc.). in the above-described method is furthermore described.05-03-2012

20110040749METHOD FOR EXTRACTING, MERGING AND RANKING SEARCH ENGINE RESULTS - A method and a computer program product for identifying the domains, selecting for each domain one domain-specific search engine and data source to be involved, generating the domain-specific subqueries for each selected search engine, defining a strategy for sending requests to each search engine and data source, and receiving, merging and ranking results. The result of the multi-domain query is a list of combinations, where every combination consists of a tuple of data, each relative to one of the domains of the query; such data is present in the results returned either by search engines or by data sources. The method provides the combinations having the highest combination score, as computed by a monotone aggregation function over the combinations.02-17-2011

20120094130Coating Compositions With Anticorrosion Properties - Anticorrosive coating compositions comprise a binding polymer and an amorphous aluminum phosphate corrosion inhibiting pigment. The composition comprises from about 1 to 25 percent by weight amorphous aluminum phosphate. The amorphous aluminum phosphate has a water adsorption potential of up to about 25 percent by weight water. The composition provides a controlled phosphate delivery of from about 50 to 500 ppm, and preferably of from about 100 to 200 ppm. The composition has a total solubles content of less than about 1,500 ppm. The amorphous aluminum phosphate is preferably substantially free of alkali metals. The amorphous aluminum phosphate is made by combining aluminum hydroxide with phosphoric acid and sodium aluminate. The amorphous aluminum phosphate is treated to reduce the level of unwanted solubles, and the treated amorphous aluminum phosphate is dried at less than about 300° C. The composition is used as a primer coat, a mid-coat, and/or a top-coat coating.04-19-2012

20090312725NEGATIVE PRESSURE WOUND THERAPY FLUID COLLECTION CANISTER - A system for subatmospheric pressure therapy in connection with healing a surgical wound includes a wound dressing dimensioned for positioning relative to a wound bed of a subject, a subatmospheric pressure mechanism having a vacuum source for presenting subatmospheric pressure at the wound bed and a collection canister. The collection canister includes a canister housing defining an internal chamber for collecting exudates from the wound bed removed under subatmospheric pressure, an inlet to receive the exudates for depositing in the internal chamber, an outlet in fluid communication with the vacuum source and a valve mounted adjacent the inlet. The valve is adapted to open in the presence of a vacuum condition within the internal chamber to permit the exudates to flow therethrough and to close in the absence of a vacuum condition within the internal chamber. The valve reduces the amount of exudates leakage, and eliminates the need for the use of clamping or the like to clamp about the system tubing. The collection canister may include a valve housing at least partially disposed within the internal chamber of the canister housing. The valve housing defines a valve seat having an opening in fluid communication with the inlet. The valve is mounted to the valve seat adjacent the opening and movable relative to the valve seat between a closed position occluding the opening of the valve seat and an open position at least partially exposing the opening in the valve housing. The valve may be a zero closure valve such an umbrella valve.12-17-2009
