20080255424Endoscopes including distal chamber and related methods of use - Embodiments of the invention include an endoscope including a distal chamber and related methods of use, for example, with an endoscopic instrument.10-16-2008
20080269561ENDOSCOPIC IMAGING SYSTEM - An endoscopic imaging system includes a reusable control cabinet having a number of actuators that control the orientation of a lightweight endoscope that is connectable thereto. The endoscope is used with a single patient and is then disposed. The endoscope includes an illumination mechanism, an image sensor and an elongate shaft having one or more lumens located therein. A polymeric articulation joint at the distal end of the endoscope allows the distal end to be oriented by the control cabinet. The endoscope is coated with a hydrophilic coating that reduces its coefficient of friction and because it is lightweight, requires less force to advance it to a desired location within a patient.10-30-2008
20100048999VIDEO ENDOSCOPE - A video endoscope system includes a reusable control cabinet and an endoscope that is connectable thereto. The endoscope may be used with a single patient and then disposed. The endoscope includes an illumination mechanism, an image sensor, and an elongate shaft having one or more lumens located therein. An articulation joint at the distal end of the endoscope allows the distal end to be oriented by the actuators in the control cabinet or actuators in a control handle of the endoscope. Fluidics, electrical, navigation, image, display and data entry controls are integrated into the system along with other accessories.02-25-2010
20100076266ARTICULATION JOINT FOR VIDEO ENDOSCOPE - A video endoscope system includes a reusable control cabinet and an endoscope that is connectable thereto. Fluidics, electrical, navigation, image, display and data entry controls are integrated into the system along with other accessories.03-25-2010
20110082337STEERABLE DEVICE AND SYSTEM - A system includes a steerable device, such as a sheath or shaft, having proximal and distal ends. The steerable device includes an elongated body having a proximal section, a steering section, and a distal tip. Control wires are routed through the body and connected at or near the distal end of the steerable device. The system further includes a control unit to which the proximal end of the steerable device is functionally connected. In one embodiment, the control unit includes an actuator connected to one control wire and a biasing force generating device connected to a second control wire. The steering section is controllably manipulated by the control unit to facilitate steering of the distal tip of the steerable device as the steerable device is advanced through tortuous passageways of a patient's body.04-07-2011

20090112739PRODUCT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHODS - Product supply management system and methods are provided. The system and methods are typically adapted to be used with the manufacture, distribution and sale of programmable electronic devices. The method generally comprises the tracking of each programmable device through each participant in the supply chain, from the manufacturer to the retailer, and the programming of each programmable device at the retailer's premise with generally individualized software. The tracking information, collected via different stations and transmitted to a central server via a communication network, is then typically used to identify each of the participants in the supply chain through which each of the programmable devices has transited. This tracking information is then typically used to monitor inventory and to redistribute commissions to each participant.04-30-2009

20100090507MOTION-ENABLED MOVIE THEATER SEAT - The present document describes an actuated chair for providing seating and inducing motion to a single user with respect to the ground as a function of motion signals synchronized with a video output of a feature length movie. The chair comprises a seat base for providing seating to the single user. The seat base has a rear edge. The chair further comprises an actuating base for receiving the motion signals. The actuating base is located substantially between the seat base and the ground and comprises a frame for interfacing with the ground. The actuating base also comprises three link members, namely a first link member, a second link member and a third link member. Each link member has one translational degree of freedom and two rotational degrees of freedom. The first link member and the second link member are attached to the seat base closer to the rear edge than the third link member. The actuating base further comprises three linear actuators for inducing motion to the seat base. The actuators are fixed to the frame and each actuator is respectively connected to the seat base using a respective one of the three link members.04-15-2010

20110170945LINK MEMBER FOR MOTION-ENABLED MOVIE THEATRE CHAIR - The present document describes a link member for providing an interface between an actuator and a seat base. The link member has a translational degree of freedom and at least two rotational degrees of freedom. The link member comprises: a joint member having a spherical surface, the joint member for attachment to one of the actuator and the seat base; a housing for attachment to the other one of the actuator and the seat base; and a slider mounted on the spherical surface and within the housing. The slider is free to move in a direction of a translational plane within the housing thereby providing the translational degree of freedom. Furthermore, the slider is free to slide on the spherical surface and to pivot about a first axis and a second axis thereby providing the at least two rotational degrees of freedom.07-14-2011
