20090220805Method for Processing a Crosslinkable Elastomeric Composition Comprising Silica - A method for processing a crosslinkable elastomeric composition including at least one silica reinforcing filler and at least one sulfur-containing organosilane compound by using at least one processing apparatus having an internal metal surface, includes the following steps: (a) pretreating at least one portion of the internal metal surface of the at least one processing apparatus with at least one sulfur-free organosilane compound having at least one hydrolizable group; (b) feeding the crosslinkable elastomeric composition including silica to the at least one processing apparatus; and (c) processing the crosslinkable elastomeric composition.09-03-2009
20110067800PROCESS AND PLANT FOR PRODUCING AN ELASTOMERIC COMPOUND - A process for producing an elastomeric compound, includes: feeding at least one elastomeric polymer and at least one reinforcing filler to a mixing apparatus including at least one batch mixing device; mixing and dispersing, in the at least one mixing apparatus, the at least one reinforcing filler into the at least one elastomeric polymer, so as to obtain a first elastomeric compound; discharging the first elastomeric compound from the at least one mixing apparatus; feeding the first elastomeric compound to at least one continuous mixing device, said continuous mixing device including at least two rotating screws; mixing the first elastomeric compound in the at least one continuous mixing device, so as to obtain a second elastomeric compound; and discharging said second elastomeric compound from said at least one continuous mixing device.03-24-2011
20110110178MULTI-SCREW EXTRUDER DEVICE FOR THE PRODUCTION OF ELASTOMERIC COMPOUNDS - A multiscrew extruder device for production of elastomeric compounds is intended for manufacturing tyres for vehicle wheels. The device includes a holding body; a mandrel inserted in the holding body extending along a longitudinal axis and delimiting an annular chamber with the holding body; and a plurality of extrusion screws disposed in the annular chamber and parallel to the longitudinal axis. A first circuit for a heat-exchange fluid for temperature control is formed in the mandrel and includes a central channel extending in the mandrel along the longitudinal axis and a plurality of parallel peripheral channels extending in a peripheral portion of the mandrel close to the annular chamber and in fluid communication with the central channel.05-12-2011

20090279280STRUCTURED OPTICAL FILM - Disclosed are structured optical films and optical displays incorporating such films. The film has a structured surface including a plurality of substantially parallel and elongate light-directing elements. Each element has a respective peak and defining at a junction with an adjacent element a respective valley. Each of the peaks and valleys define substantially the same dihedral angle and extend substantially uninterrupted across the structured surface. A first sequence defined by successive lateral distances between adjacent peaks is a first non-periodic sequence. A second sequence defined by successive lateral distances between adjacent valleys is a second non-periodic sequence. The second sequence is configured based on the first sequence, such that the peaks are arranged in a substantially coplanar formation. Alternatively, the first sequence is configured based on the second sequence, such that the valleys are arranged in a substantially coplanar formation.11-12-2009

20100314347FEEDING APPARATUS - Colic can be a particular problem for babies feeding on liquid feed from a feeder bottle. The colic can be formed by air from various sources in the liquid feed. Typically, there is less air in the liquid feed towards the bottom of the liquid feed container in the feeding position than towards the top of the liquid feed. The present invention provides apparatus for drawing milk from the bottom of the feeding apparatus chamber when the feeder is held in the operating position. This is achieved by positioning a flow restrictor for allowing the passage of liquid feed from a main chamber into a flexible feeding teat at a suitable location. The present invention also provides a resiliently-biased cartridge to assist in priming and/or draining of the flexible feeding teat. The present invention also provides a construction in which the flow restrictor is always provided in the correct position regardless of the relative angular orientation of the elements of the feeder. The present invention also provides feeding apparatus that can be easily disassembled to facilitate cleaning.12-16-2010

20100138819TYPE MERGING TECHNIQUE TO REDUCE CLASS LOADING DURING JAVA VERFICATION - An apparatus, process, and computer program product to merge types in an object-oriented program is disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a process may include analyzing a method within an object-oriented program to identify merge candidates. These merge candidates may then be recorded in a merge candidate list. The process may further include identifying at least two code paths in the method that merge into a single code path and that operate on different types. The types in these code paths may then be merged to a nearest common superclass listed in the merge candidate list. In selected embodiments, the types may be merged to the java.lang.Object class in the event the merge candidate list is empty.06-03-2010

20090064114SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND COMPUTER PRODUCTS FOR AUTOMATED INJECTION OF JAVA BYTECODE INSTRUCTIONS FOR JAVA LOAD TIME OPTIMIZATION VIA RUNTIME CHECKING WITH UPCASTS - Automated injection of Java bytecode instructions for Java load time optimization via runtime checking with upcasts. Exemplary embodiments include a method including generating a stack for each of a plurality of bytecodes, generating a subclass configured to keep a history of instructions that have modified the stack, statically scanning a plurality of Java classes associated with the plurality of bytecodes to locate class file configurations and bytecode patterns that cause loading of additional classes to complete a verification of each of the classes in the plurality of Java classes, rewriting the bytecodes to delay the loading of the additional classes until required at a runtime, recording modifications that have been made to the stack by the instructions, and applying the modifications to each of the bytecodes in the plurality of bytecodes.03-05-2009
