20090053072Integrated "One Pump" Control of Pumping Equipment - Methods and systems for improving the efficiency of a pumping process by controlling the operation of the pumps involved based on certain parameters characterizing the pump. A pump unit is coupled to a pump controller which is in turn, coupled to a pump modulator. A master controller drives the pump modulator based on a desired output parameter for the system. The pump modulator then drives each pump unit through its corresponding pump controller in a manner for the system to achieve optimal performance.02-26-2009
20090308603Work string controller - Well bore servicing equipment is provided. The well bore servicing equipment comprises a first manipulator to grip a well bore work string, to raise the work string, and to lower the work string. The well bore servicing equipment further comprises a controller to receive a work string trajectory input and to automatically control the first manipulator to raise and lower the work string substantially in conformance with the work string trajectory input.12-17-2009

20100172202Mixer system controlled based on density inferred from sensed mixing tub weight - A mixing system is provided comprising a first mixing tub, a first actuator to control flow of a carrier fluid, a sensor to determine a rate of flow of the fluid, and a second actuator to control flow of a dry material to form a mixture in the first mixing tub. The system further comprises a second mixing tub, a controller, and a weight sensor to determine the weight of the first mixing tub. The controller modulates the second actuator based on the rate of flow of the carrier fluid, based on the weight of the first mixing tub, and based on one of a sensed height of the mixture in the second mixing tub and a weight of the second mixing tub to provide the mixture at least one of at a commanded density and at a commanded flow rate. The mixture may be provided to a well bore to perform a servicing operation.07-08-2010

20090118866Control System Design for a Mixing System with Multiple Inputs - A method for mixing at least two materials is provided. The method comprises introducing the at least two materials into a physical system and combining the at least two materials to form a mixture thereof. The method also comprises independently controlling a desired characteristic of the mixture and a desired parameter of the physical system, wherein the controlling is based in part on estimating a disturbance, wherein the estimating the disturbance is based on processing an error term determined by subtracting a modeled parameter of the physical system from a corresponding sensed parameter of the physical system.05-07-2009
