20100293719Combination treatment device and an anterior support device - A combination of a treatment device and an anterior support device is disclosed. The combination includes a treatment device having an edge and an attachment member movably secured thereto and an anterior support device having an elongated member which interacts with the attachment member. The anterior support device has first and second pivotable connectors, one being secured to the elongated member and the other to a padded rest. The anterior support device also includes first and second movable rods secured to the first and second pivotable connectors. A second end of the first movable rod is rotatably connected to a second end of the second movable rod and an actuating mechanism is connected to both of the second ends of the rods. The actuating mechanism enables the first and second rods to be locked in a set position to maintain the padded rest in a desired orientation relative to the treatment device.11-25-2010

20100019028Affinity group bearer debit cards, and card systems - Systems and methods for transferring money internationally or domestically using conventional financial institution accounts and infrastructure for transfers but using non-conventional procedures to initiate the accounts. Such system comprises a non-financial-institution, non-employer, sponsor; single or multiple remitters, multiple funds recipients, a card processor; financial institution accounts for each remitter and each recipient. A remitter initiates a remittance account for himself, and a recipient account associated with a recipient. A debit card and PIN are linked to the recipient account. Multiple remitters can be affiliated with the sponsor, or a remitter can be the sponsor. The sponsor can be a non-profit. The system may track information into an account, and identify and record sources of funds transferred into the account. The debit card and PIN can access funds at a POS or ATM. Funds are transferred electronically between remitter and recipient accounts, and accessed using the debit card.01-28-2010

20090222189APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING A REGENERATION AVAILABILITY PROFILE - An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for determining a regeneration availability profile for an exhaust gas aftertreatment system. The method, in one embodiment, tracks historical attempts and success to determine the availability of regeneration for the system. In a further embodiment, the method divides the system operation into segments according to desired conditions which affect regeneration, for example the workload of an engine, and tracks separate success ratios for each operating condition. This allows prediction of success of a given regeneration based upon the current operating condition, as well as diagnostics of regeneration problems where an operating condition experiences trouble regenerating when historically it should not.09-03-2009
20110072911System and Method for Estimating EGR Mass Flow Rates - A system and method are provided for estimating an instantaneous EGR mass flow rate corresponding to a flow rate of exhaust gas through an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) conduit fluidly coupled between an exhaust manifold and an intake manifold of an internal combustion engine with an EGR cooler positioned in-line with the EGR conduit. An operating position of the engine is monitored, and the instantaneous EGR mass flow rate is estimated at each of a plurality of fixed increments of the engine position based on EGR cooler outlet temperature, intake manifold pressure and a pressure differential across a flow restriction disposed in-line with the exhaust gas conduit between the EGR cooler and the intake manifold.03-31-2011
20110154820ENGINE EXHAUST MANIFOLD PRESSURE CONTROL OF INTAKE FLOW - A method for controlling charge flow in an internal combustion engine includes operating an engine having a VGT. The method includes determining a target and current charge flow and EGR flow. The method further includes determining an error term for the charge flow and the EGR flow, and determining an exhaust pressure feedback command in response to the error terms. The exhaust pressure feedback command is combined with an exhaust pressure feedforward command, and the VGT is controlled in response to the exhaust pressure feedback command. The method additionally includes determining the exhaust pressure feedback command in response to a current EGR valve position. The method further includes controlling an EGR flow rate with the EGR valve at relatively closed EGR valve positions, and controlling the EGR flow rate with exhaust pressure at relatively open EGR valve positions.06-30-2011

20100268638LINKED DISPLAYED MARKET AND MIDPOINT MATCHING SYSTEM - An automated system for matching orders to buy and sell securities including a displayed market where orders are executed at a BBO price and where information about the market is made available to investors and a midpoint matching market for matching buy and sell orders at a predetermined price, namely, the midpoint between the national best bid and offer. The displayed market and the midpoint matching market are linked so that orders submitted to the displayed market are exposed to the midpoint matching market and can be executed at an improved price if a contra order is available on the midpoint matching market.10-21-2010
