20080241324Extrusion Apparatus and Method for Extruding High Protein Foodstuffs - There is described a twin-screw extruder in which there are provided a pair of die hole sets which are aligned with the extrusion paths from each screw. This arrangement allows all the extrusion path lengths from a plane perpendicular to the screw ends to the outer ends of the die holes to be substantially the same. Preferably two sets of cutter blades cut extrudate at the die hole outlets of each set. The blades are arranged on a pair of rotary assemblies, the axes of rotation of which are substantially coaxial with the axes of rotation of the extruder screws. Optionally a pressure chamber, capable of sustaining a pressure of less than ambient, is in gas tight communication with the outlet of the extruder to receive extrudate to enhance expansion of the extrudate.10-02-2008

20110220046CAM SHAFT PHASE SETTER COMPRISING A CONTROL VALVE FOR HYDRAULICALLY ADJUSTING THE PHASE POSITION OF A CAM SHAFT - A cam shaft phase setter including a control valve for controlling the feeding and draining of a hydraulic fluid into and out of a pressure chamber which serves to adjust the rotational angular position of a cam shaft relative to a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine. The control valve includes a valve housing with an operating port to the pressure chamber and a reservoir port to a reservoir for the fluid. A valve piston is axially adjustable back and forth in the valve housing between a first position and a second position and includes an axial hollow space, a piston inlet for introducing the fluid into the hollow space, and a piston outlet which leads out of the hollow space and is connected to the operating port in the first position of the valve piston and separated from the operating port in the second position of the valve piston. An actuating unit is coupled to the valve piston for axially adjusting the valve piston. A coupling member protrudes through an axially facing closure wall which closes off the valve housing and couples the actuating unit to the valve piston. The valve piston includes a radial widening which is surrounded by a complementarily widened housing portion of the valve housing and to which the fluid can be applied in an axial direction pointing away from the axially facing closure wall in order to generate an axial pressure force. The widening is dimensioned such that the fluid acts on the valve piston with a pressure force of at least substantially equal size in both axial directions, despite the coupling member.09-15-2011

20080283010CAM SHAFT PHASE SETTER AND VACUUM PUMP FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE - A device for adjusting the phase position of a cam shaft of an internal combustion engine and for supplying an assembly with a partial vacuum, said device comprising: a phase setter for adjusting the phase position of the cam shaft relative to a crankshaft of the internal combustion engine; a vacuum pump for the assembly; and an attachment housing for the vacuum pump, wherein the attachment housing is mounted on the internal combustion engine and forms a housing or at least a housing cover for the phase setter.11-20-2008
20090041605ADJUSTING VALVE FOR ADJUSTING THE DELIVERY VOLUME OF A DISPLACEMENT PUMP - An adjusting valve adjusting valve for adjusting the delivery volume of a displacement pump includes a valve casing, a valve piston which is mounted such that the valve piston can be moved within the valve casing, a valve spring which counteracts a force exerted by the valve-actuating pressure on the valve piston, and an adjusting device serving to adjust the valve piston in the direction of or counter to the force exerted by the valve-actuating pressure. A displacement pump exhibiting an adjustable delivery volume, includes a pump casing, a delivery chamber formed in the pump casing and a delivery member and the adjusting valve for adjusting the delivery volume, arranged in a flow of the fluid delivered by the delivery member.02-12-2009
20090123314OIL PUMP FOR AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE - An oil pump for an internal combustion engine for drawing up the lubricating oil situated in an oil collector device has an oil pump housing wherein at least two pairs of gears are disposed. The pairs of gears, in order to form the pumping stages, are connected on the suction side to a suction passage formed in the oil pump housing and on the delivery side to a delivery passage. The oil pump housing is further formed with an oil supply passage that is connected to the suction passage of a first pumping stage and via which lubricating oil can be delivered to the suction side of the first pumping stage.05-14-2009
