20120085554 | Seal with Enhanced Nose Ring - A seal assembly between a wellhead housing having a bore and a casing hanger, has an inner seal leg for sealing against hanger and an outer seal leg for sealing against housing. An extension extends downward from outer seal leg and is connected to a nose ring having a downward facing shoulder that rests on the hanger shoulder to provide a reaction point for setting operations. A lock ring is retained within interior portion of the nose ring. An upward facing shoulder formed on an upper portion of nose ring contacts the lower surface of the inner seal leg. The shoulder prevents the downward deflection of the inner leg and eliminates buckling due to Poisson effect from the resulting axial force due to growth of the seal legs during setting operations. The shoulder thus prevents crooked or twisted setting of the seal to prevent plastic strain in the seal. | 04-12-2012 |

20110142738 | METHOD FOR TREATING SPENT REGENERATION GAS - The invention covers a method for treating spent regeneration gas from one or more molecular sieve treaters, first in an amine solvent unit and then in a caustic unit. The amine solvent unit removes hydrogen sulfide and carbonyl sulfide and the caustic unit removes mercaptans. Optionally, there are additional treatments before the treated gas has met specifications for burning as a fuel or used for other purposes. | 06-16-2011 |
20120152120 | PRODUCTION OF CARBON DIOXIDE FROM SYNTHESIS GAS - The present invention provides a series of processing steps to remove carbon dioxide from synthesis gas. The syngas exiting a hydrogen sulfide absorber is first compressed, subjected to a dehydration step and a low temperature liquefaction and separation to remove carbon dioxide. The high pressure syngas then continues on to a carbon dioxide absorber for carbon dioxide removal. The system can operate with lower solvent rates and equipment sizes compared to prior art systems. | 06-21-2012 |

20080294171 | Device and method for lumbar interbody fusion - A method for performing percutaneous interbody fusion is disclosed. The method includes the steps of inserting a guide needle posteriorly to the disc space, inserting a dilator having an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the guide needle over the guide needle to the disc space to enlarge the disc space, and successively passing a series of dilators, each having an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of the previous dilator, over the previous dilator to the disc space the gradually and incrementally increase the height of the disc space. Once the desired disc height is achieved, the guide needle and all the dilators, with the exception of the outermost dilator, are removed. An expandable intervertebral disc spacer is then passed through the remaining dilator and positioned in the disc space. The disc spacer is expanded to the required disc height, and then a bone matrix is passed through the dilator to fill the disc space. The dilator is then removed. An expandable intervertebral disc spacer is also disclosed, having a tapered bore that causes greater expansion of one end of the spacer with respect to the other. A kit for performing the percutaneous interbody fusion procedure is also disclosed. | 11-27-2008 |

20090217670 | EXHAUST NOZZLE SEAL WITH SEGMENTED BASESHEET DISPOSED BETWEEN SIDE RAILS - An aircraft engine exhaust nozzle basesheet includes longitudinally extending plurality of basesheet segments having panel bodies between segment leading and trailing edges and slidable sealing joints with slidingly un-restrained center surfaces between adjacent segment leading and trailing edges. Segmented first and second basesheet side edges include first and second segment side edges of the basesheet segments respectively. Slidably sealingly engaged overlapping flanges at the segment leading and trailing edges include tacked together transversely spaced apart first and second distal ends of the overlapping flanges. A basesheet assembly includes a frame includes first and second side rails supporting the first and second basesheet side edges. An aircraft gas turbine engine exhaust nozzle includes divergent seals with the basesheet assemblies in sealing engagement against divergent flaps along the first and second side rails. | 09-03-2009 |
20090217671 | EXHAUST NOZZLE SEAL WITH SEGMENTED BASESHEET - An aircraft gas turbine engine exhaust nozzle basesheet includes longitudinally extending plurality of basesheet segments. Each of the basesheet segments includes a panel body between segment leading and trailing edges and slidable sealing joints with slidingly un-restrained center surfaces between adjacent segment leading and trailing edges. Segmented first and second basesheet side edges first and second segment side edges of the basesheet segments respectively. Slidably sealingly engaged overlapping flanges at the segment leading and trailing edges include tacked together transversely spaced apart first and second distal ends of the overlapping flanges. Leading and trailing edge ribs supporting the overlapping flanges are clipped together with longitudinally spaced apart and transversely extending forward and aft slits in retainers. A spine includes transverse stiffeners with first and second stiffener distal ends attached to longitudinally spaced apart sets of transversely extending first and second spine tabs of the spine. | 09-03-2009 |
