20090046541ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITH AN ALARM CLOCK FUNCTION AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE FUNCTION - An electronic device with an alarm clock function includes a storage unit storing a plurality of questions, corresponding answers, a preset number and a count number; a managing unit for performing or disabling an alarm clock function; a random selection module for generating and outputting a random question; a comparison module for receiving inputs and determining whether the input matches the corresponding answer; a recording module for adding 1 to the count number when the input matches the corresponding answer; and a number confirming module for comparing the count number with the preset number, disabling the alarm clock function when the count number is equal to the preset number, and informing the random selection module to re-generate a random question when the count number is not equal to the preset number. A method of disabling alarm clock function is also provided.02-19-2009
20090074329IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS AND METHOD THEREFOR - The present invention provides an image display apparatus and an image display method adapted for the apparatus. The apparatus stores a plurality of image files and metadata of each of the image files. The metadata includes a selection count and a weighted value of the image file. The weighted value is calculated according to the selection count. The image display method includes steps of: receiving image selection signals; receiving an image display signal; reading the weighted values of selected image files to generate a list in an order according to the weighted values; updating the selection counts of the selected image files; calculating the weighted values of the selected image files according to the updated selection counts, and storing the updated selection counts and the calculated weighted values as metadata; and displaying the selected image files according to the list.03-19-2009
20090086585ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITH AN ALARM CLOCK FUNCTION AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE FUNCTION - An electronic device with an alarm clock function includes a storage unit storing an alarm time, audio files and related information; an audio playing module for randomly playing an audio file via an audio output unit which matches the alarm time; an option generating module for generating and outputting preset number options, at least one of them containing the related information of the playing audio file; a comparison module for receiving inputs and determining whether the input matches the related information of the playing audio file; a managing unit for disabling the alarm clock function when the input matches the related information. A method of controlling the alarm clock function is also provided.04-02-2009
20090106246IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS AND METHOD THEREFOR - The present invention provides an image display apparatus and an image display method adapted for the apparatus. The apparatus stores a plurality of image files and metadata of each of the image files, and provides current timestamp. The metadata for each image includes an upload timestamp, a last-displayed timestamp, and a weighted value. A load-timestamp period is a time difference between the current timestamp and the upload timestamp. A not-displayed timestamp period is also a difference in time between the current timestamp and the last-displayed timestamp. The weighted value is calculated according to the load-timestamp period and the not-displayed timestamp period. The apparatus displays selected image files in accordance with the weighted values of the selected image files in an order. The present invention also provides a method of displaying image files adapted for the image display apparatus.04-23-2009
20090168608ELECTRONIC DEVICE WITH WORKING MODE SWITCHING FUNCTION AND METHOD OF SWITCHING WORKING MODE - A method of switching working modes, the method includes: supplying a storage unit, therein the storage unit stores at least two working modes, alarm information, and alarm time, the alarm information includes indicating information and determining information; detecting whether a system time matches the alarm time; outputting the indicating information when the system time matches the alarm time; receiving input; determining whether the input matches the determining information; controlling the electronic device to switch from one working mode to another working mode when the input matches the determining information. An electronic device with working modes switching function is also provided.07-02-2009
20090303177ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SELECTING FUNCTIONS BASED ON ORIENTATIONS - The present invention provides an electronic device and a method for selecting functions based on orientations of the electronic device. The method includes: a) storing relationships between orientations and functions; b) fetching inductive signals based on the orientation of the electronic device; c) recognizing the current orientation according to the fetched signals; and d) if the orientation is altered, selecting a function corresponding to the altered orientation and displaying a corresponding interface.12-10-2009
20110261013TOUCH SCREEN SYSTEM BASED ON IMAGE RECOGNITION - A touch screen system includes a touch screen corresponding to a Descartes coordinate system XOY, a first image capturing unit, a second capturing unit, and a processing unit. The first image capturing unit and the second capturing unit are arranged at the periphery of the touch screen and are substantially perpendicular to each other. Both the two image capturing units include a camera and a housing, the camera is housed in the housing to take images, an optical axis of the lens of each camera is perpendicular to X or Y axis of the system XOY respectively for acquiring images including one touch point. The processing unit identifies a touched point on the touch screen and determines X and Y coordinates of the touched point in the system XOY and executing a function corresponding to the X and Y coordinates of the touched point.10-27-2011
20110285670STYLUS PEN - A stylus pen includes a penholder and a pen tip connected to the penholder. The pen tip includes a first pen tip and a second pen tip. A first contact surface and a second contact surface are respectively defined in one end of the first pen tip and the second pen tip, and both are substantially parallel to each other. A cavity is defined in the second pen tip, in which the first pen tip is slidably received. An elastic member is arranged in the cavity to provide an elastic force to the first pen tip to cause the first pen tip to extend out of the cavity. When the pen tip is pressed, the elastic member is compressed to allow the first pen tip to retract into the cavity, allowing the first contact surface and the second contact surface to be flush with each other.11-24-2011
