20100191517METHOD FOR DETERMINING THREE-DIMENSIONAL STRUCTURES OF DYNAMIC MOLECULES - The present invention relates to a method for determining three-dimensional structures of molecules, particularly, but not exclusively, dynamic organic molecules of biological interest such as peptides, carbohydrates, proteins and drug molecules. A first aspect of the present invention provides a method for generating data representing an ensemble of three-dimensional structures of a molecule, the molecule comprising first and second atoms linked by at least one bond, said bond having an associated angle, and the angle varying to generate a plurality of three-dimensional structures of said molecule, the method comprising: receiving data representing said molecule, said data comprising data indicating variability of said angle; and generating an ensemble of structures such that the angle has an associated value selected based upon said variability. A second aspect of the present invention provides a computer implemented method for simulating the variability of the three-dimensional structure of a molecule.07-29-2010

20080318816Method of Increasing Hydrolytic Stability of Magnesium Overbased Products - The hydrolytic stability of magnesium overbased products is significantly improved by the addition or inclusion of a mixture or reaction product of an alkylphenol resin with a mixture of an alkenyl succinic anhydride and the acid thereof, and an alkyl amine. These magnesium overbased products are useful additives to fuel oils to improve their corrosion-causing tendencies. In one non-limiting embodiment, the alkylphenol resin is nonylphenol resin and the succinic anhydride is a partially hydrolyzed succinic anhydride having from 14 to 26 carbon atoms, along with the acid thereof. The mixtures and reaction products also serve as asphaltene inhibitors in the fuel oils.12-25-2008

20110146233REGENERATION ASSIST CALIBRATION - A power system comprising an engine that produces exhaust, a fuel system that injects a fuel into the engine, an aftertreatment system that treats the exhaust, and a controller. The aftertreatment system includes an oxidation catalyst that converts NO from the engine into NO2, a particulate filter that traps soot from the engine, and a sensor that provides an indication of the amount of soot in the particulate filter. The controller increases an engine fuel injection pressure when the amount of soot in the particulate filter is above a threshold.06-23-2011

20100089696Barrier Assembly - A barrier assembly includes an upright frame that supports a barrier including a pair of slidably coupled barrier members that are adjustable in length and are supported by a stirrup as well as the frame. The frame attached to the barrier members to support the barrier members is able to attach to a supporting surface. The frame extends upwardly from the supporting surface to support the barrier members at a position spaced from the supporting surface. The frame has a clamp device that engages the members to prevent sliding movement between the barrier members and thereby removably fixes the barrier members at a desired length and fixes the barrier members to the frame.04-15-2010

20110021612NK1 FRAGMENT OF HEPATOCYTE GROWTH FACTOR/SCATTER FACTOR (HGF/SF) AND VARIANTS THEREOF, AND THEIR USE - The present invention relates to variants of the NK1 fragment of the polypeptide growth factor HGF/SF which act as agonists of the MET receptor and their use. The agonists comprise at least one substitution at positions equivalent to 132, 134, 170 and 181 of full length HGF/SF and these substitutions provide a variant which shows scatter factor activity and induces DNA synthesis. In vivo the variants provide protection from liver damage in a model of acute liver failure.01-27-2011
