20100119578EXTRACELLULAR MATRIX MODULATING COATINGS FOR MEDICAL DEVICES - A unique method and coatings are provided to promote/allow early stage tissue encapsulation/endothelization of medical devices while effectively controlling excessive tissue buildup by eluting antiproliferative therapeutic agent within a body of a patient. The method involves using a therapeutic agent that suppresses excessive extracellular matrix proliferation and allows/promotes thin tissue healing/encapsulation/endothelization of the device. Optimized timing of onset of elution to match onset of excessive extracellular matrix proliferation for maximum effectiveness is achieved by delay barrier with biochemical switch.05-13-2010
20110086081COATING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DRUG ELUTION MANAGEMENT - The teachings are directed to a medical device having a drug-retaining coating that at least substantially delays the initial elution of a drug for a time effective at forming a functional endothelium over a surface of the medical device.04-14-2011

20090043380Coatings for promoting endothelization of medical devices - A unique method and coatings are provided for promoting tissue encapsulation of medical devices, especially before antiproliferative drug therapy within a body of a patient in order to prevent excessive restenosis and while avoiding thrombosis (including late stage/stent thrombosis). The method involves delaying the activation of restenosis suppressing (i.e. antiproliferative) drugs in the vicinity of the medical device until a thin layer of geometrically streamlined tissue has deposited itself upon the device. Coatings of one or more layer that provide an aligned scaffolding (i.e. via aligned fibers or aligned grooves) may be used in the method to encourage tissue deposition and/or to delay elution of drug(s) stored beneath or within. The delay phase prior to degradation, erosion, and/or absorption of the coating to release an active drug should last until an optimal amount of controlled restenosis has provided a thin endothelial layer to encapsulate the device.02-12-2009

20120132320SUPERIOR SKID SPLITTER SYSTEMS - Superior Skid Splitter is designed to lift, split, and load firewood logs, effectively eliminating the need for physical labor when handling and processing the wood. The device features an adjustable, hydraulic wood splitter containing a plate assembly with a six-way cutter head on its underside. The unit can be attached to a skid loader or a tractor, allowing it to lift a single large log and split it into six smaller pieces. It can also be designed to grab and carry long lengths of logs to load onto trucks or trailers, and may load pieces of split wood into receptacles because of its relative orientation.05-31-2012

20090268356INPUT PROTECTION CIRCUIT - A voltage clamp protection circuit to protect against overvoltage conditions where there is insufficient current to blow a fuse. The voltage clamp protection circuit includes a voltage clamp and a thermal cutoff. The voltage clamp clamps any overvoltage to a clamping voltage. If an overvoltage condition persists for too long the voltage clamp dissipates a sufficient amount of heat to activate the thermal cutoff creating an open circuit that protects the rest of the circuit. The voltage clamp protection circuit may be used in combination with a variety of other protection circuits to provide increased protection.10-29-2009
20110196544INPUT PARASITIC METAL DETECTION - A system and method of controlling inductive power transfer in an inductive power transfer system and a method for designing an inductive power transfer system with power accounting. The method of controlling inductive power transfer including measuring a characteristic of input power, a characteristic of power in the tank circuit, and receiving information from a secondary device. Estimating power consumption based on the measured characteristic of tank circuit power and received information and comparing the measured characteristic of input power, the information from the secondary device, and the estimated power consumption to determine there is an unacceptable power loss. The method for designing an inductive power transfer system with power accounting including changing the distance between a primary side and a secondary side and changing a load of the secondary side. For each distance between the primary side and the secondary side and for each load, measuring a circuit parameter on the primary side in the tank circuit and a circuit parameter on the secondary side during the transfer of contactless energy. The method further including selecting a formula to describe power consumption in the system during the transfer of contactless energy based on coefficients and the circuit parameters, and determining the coefficients using the measured circuit parameters.08-11-2011
20110204711SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DETECTING DATA COMMUNICATION OVER A WIRELESS POWER LINK - A wireless power supply system that detects communications in the input power to the switching circuit. In this aspect of the invention, the wireless power supply includes a detector for generating a signal indicative of the current in the input to the switching circuitry, a band-pass filter for filtering the detected signal, an amplifier for amplifying the filtered signal, a filter for filtering the amplified signal and a comparator for converting the final signal into a stream of high and low signals that can be passed to a controller for processing as binary data stream. In a second aspect, the wireless power supply system includes a detector for generating a signal that varies in dependence on changes in the phase relationship between the current and the voltage in the primary-side tank circuit, a band-pass filter for filtering the signal, an amplifier for amplifying the filtered signal, a filter for filtering the amplified signal and a comparator for converting the final signal into a stream of high and low signals that can be passed to a controller for processing as binary data stream.08-25-2011

20090095106Motorized gear and coupling system - A system for controlling airflow in a plenum, that comprises a worm gear and planetary gear that are removably coupled to a worm shaft and planetary shaft, respectively. The planetary shaft controls the movement of a damper between an open position permitting maximum airflow through the plenum, and a closed position restricting airflow through the plenum. A motor or gear-motor is positioned at the plenum for driving the worm shaft. The motor is controlled by a remotely located controller that includes a power supply for operating the motor. The controller is connected to the motor through a cable with a detachable electrical connection between the cable and the controller. Alternatively, the movement of the damper is controlled by a drive shaft, which connects the motor or gear motor directly to the damper without intervening gearing. The motor is positioned in the airflow of the plenum. The cable may extend through the plenum to a diffuser or other opening in the plenum for connection to the controller, or may exit through a hole formed in the plenum.04-16-2009
