20100110680MOUNTING ARRANGEMENT FOR LIGHTING MODULES AND CORRESPONDING METHOD - A lighting module includes a base plate for fixing to a mounting surface, and a reflector body carrying a printed circuit board with one or more electrical light sources such as high power LEDs. The printed circuit board (includes electrical contact pins to the electrical light sources. The base plate and the reflector body are provided with complementary coupling formations for snap-like coupling the base plate and the reflector body with an electrical line interposed in between for feeding the light sources with the electrical contact pins electrically contacting the electrical line. The module may include force-generating formations to urge the printed circuit board against the base plate to promote heat transfer in between.05-06-2010
20100219763DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DIMMING LIGHT SOURCES - In various embodiments, a device for dimming a light source is provided. The device may include a two-wire power supply line having interposed therein a switch for controlling transfer of said power supply towards said light source; a capacitance located downstream of said switch being traversed by a charge current as said switch is switched on; and a pre-charge stage interposed between said switch and said capacitance; said pre-charge stage being configured to limit to a given value said charge current.09-02-2010

20100219774METHOD FOR DIMMING LIGHT SOURCES, RELATED DEVICE AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT - A method of compensating the degradation of the luminous intensity due to aging in a light source by controlling a power supply signal of said light source. The method may include: detecting the temperature of said light source; determining a parameter representative of the aging of said light source as a function of said temperature; and varying said power supply signal as a function of said parameter representative of the aging of the light source.09-02-2010

20090255829APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE COMPOSITION OF A MATERIAL BEING EXAMINED - A method includes identifying first data associated with cyclic voltammetry measurements of a material being examined. The cyclic voltammetry measurements include applying a varying first voltage to the material and measuring a first current. The method also includes identifying second data associated with impedance measurements. The impedance measurements include applying a second voltage to the material and measuring a second current. The second data includes a scaling factor. The method further includes adjusting at least part of the first data using the scaling factor and identifying a composition of the material using the adjusted first data. The first data could include a current versus voltage curve that associates values of the first current to values of a sweep voltage. The first data could be adjusted by normalizing the curve using the scaling factor, and the normalized curve could be used to generate a current derivative curve.10-15-2009

20090165231MOP WITH ATTACHED WRINGER - A connection assembly configured to secure a mop head to an elongate member is provided. In one embodiment, a connector may include an insert having a plurality of tabs with an inner portion and an outward extending outer portion that extends radially outward from and traverse to an elongate member when the insert is properly mounted to the elongate member. The connector may include an inner member comprising a plurality of depressions configured to engage the inner portion of the plurality of tabs of the insert. A collar having an inner wall may also be utilized, wherein at least a portion of the inner wall is of a generally circular cross-section configured to engage the outward extending outer portion of the plurality of tabs. Connection assemblies may further comprise a wringer cup configured to be mounted on the elongate member.07-02-2009
