20090294445Closure For Packaging Containers - A closure for a container is provided, including a first closure member with a male feature protruding from a first interface surface thereof. A retaining ring is configured to mate with and thereby attach the first closure member to the first flap. A second closure member has a female feature configured to receive the male feature defined through a second interface surface thereof. The second closure member also has retention tangs configured to mate with and thereby attach the second container flap to the second closure member. The male feature includes a stem with two flexible tabs extending acutely outward from the stem on opposing sides thereof. The flexible tabs are configured to snap fit into the female feature. The first and second closure members are respectively oriented such that the male feature mates with and releasably locks to the female feature when the first and second flaps are closed.12-03-2009

20080262396Vibrational Support Surface - A vibration and modulation system is provided for an array of air cells. The vibration and modulation system includes an air source, a high-pressure reservoir in fluid communication with the air source, and at least one valve coupled between the high-pressure air source and the array of air cells. A control assembly is coupled with the at least one valve and selectively controls a position of the valve to effect a vibratory action in the array of air cells.10-23-2008

20080271804Flat-hose assembly for wound drainage system - A flat-hose assembly has a proximal end and a distal end adapted for use with a negative pressure wound drainage system. The flat-hose assembly comprises a top layer, a bottom layer, and a filter layer. The bottom layer forms an opening at the distal end of the flat-hose assembly to allow exudates of a wound to flow into the flat-hose assembly. The filter layer is disposed between the top layer and the bottom layer. The top and bottom layer form a seal area along a periphery of the top layer and the bottom layer to seal the filter layer therebetween.11-06-2008
20090064418Distributed Pressure Control for Support Surfaces - A distributed pressure control system for a support surface includes a main controller including a source of pressurized air and a communication interface, and an air manifold having an air inlet coupled with the air source and a plurality of air outlets. A plurality of control modules are each attachable to a respective one of the plurality of air outlets. Each control module includes at least one valve and includes a control unit communicating with the communication interface. The control modules effect inflation and deflation of air cells in the support surface via the valves based on a signal from the communication interface.03-12-2009

20100115702Foam and Honeycomb Mattress - A support surface includes a foam base layer including a foam bottom layer and a pair of foam side edges disposed adjacent sides of the foam bottom layer. The foam side edges are firmer than the foam bottom layer. A honeycomb material layer is disposed over the foam base layer, and a cover surrounds the foam base layer and the honeycomb material layer. The combination of foam and honeycomb material provides an effective support surface resulting in superior pressure relieving characteristics, resistance to bottoming out, good edge support, and reduced manufacturing costs.05-13-2010
