20110177617CROSS-LINKING REAGENTS FOR MOLECULAR INTERACTIONS ANALYSIS - The invention describes the use of particular cross-linking reagents containing 1-hydroxybenzotriazole or 1-hydroxy-7-azabenzotriazole groups as reactive groups for cross-linking reactions of supramolecular target-ligand-complexes. The resulting cross-linked products may be directly analyzed using mass spectrometry, gel or fluorescence based technologies, X-ray crystallography, NMR or other analytical technologies. The method using High-Mass MALDI mass spectrometry provides various biological applications such as characterization of antibodies, drug discovery, and protein complex analysis including automated or higher throughput applications.07-21-2011

20080313901Method of Manufacturing an Ink Jet Printhead - This invention relates to a method of manufacturing an ink jet printhead, said printhead comprising a substrate and an ink barrier layer formed on said substrate, said method comprising the steps of: arranging a nozzle plate in which there is formed a plurality of nozzles suitable for the ejection of ink drops, said nozzle plate comprising an upper surface and a lower surface, said upper surface being on the side of the ejection of ink drops and said lower surface being opposite to said upper surface; depositing on said upper surface a first coating including a first layer comprising silicon carbide, while maintaining said nozzle plate at a first deposition temperature not larger than 250° C.; depositing on said lower surface a second coating including a second layer comprising silicon carbide, while maintaining said nozzle plate at a second deposition temperature not larger than 250° C.; positioning said nozzle plate onto said ink barrier layer by bringing into contact said second coating layer (12-25-2008
20090091592Method of Inkjet Printing for Use in Point-Of-Sale Systems - This invention relates to a method of inkjet printing, in particular for use in POS systems. In particular the printing method according to the invention is of the thermal type. In order to obtain high speed printing, for example of 15-20 lines per second when printing text on a paper medium 60-80 mm wide (for example receipts), the drops of ink ejected during the printing operation advantageously have a relatively large volume, i.e. not less than approximately 100 picolitres (pl) and preferably between 100 and 200 pl. The ink used for applications in POS systems must quickly penetrate an extensive range of paper media. This requirement is satisfied by using an ink having a surface tension of not more than approximately 35 dyne/cm (mN/m). Problems of stagnation and dripping of the ink caused by the printing conditions are overcome through the use of a nozzle plate coated with a wetting-resistant layer of silicon carbide. This coating material has proved to have non-wettability properties which do not significantly deteriorate during a printing operation over a long period of time.04-09-2009

20110067373SUSPENSION SYSTEM FOR A CROP HARVESTING HEADER - A suspension system is provided for use with a crop harvesting header including a frame carrying a structure movable about an endless path to deliver a crop to the header. The frame has opposed ends and is pivotably connected to the header, each end of the frame being independently movable between a first angle between the frame and the header and a second angle between the frame and the header. A first suspension member and a second suspension member are each connected between the frame and the header to provide a substantially constant force to the frame between the first and second angles.03-24-2011
20110078989PLANT-CUTTING ASSEMBLY FOR A HEADER - A cutting assembly for a header of a plant-cutting machine is disclosed. The cutting assembly generally includes a blade assembly fastened to a head assembly, which is configured to be drivingly connected to a motor. The cutting assembly is suitable for mounting proximate to the center of the header, in an end-to-end relation with another cutting assembly. Removal of the blade assembly from the head assembly can be efficiently effected by releasing or removing a small number of fasteners, thus allowing an operator to readily remove or replace the blade assembly as needed.04-07-2011

20080282660Crop gathering conveyor with overlappable gathering elements for a header of an agricultural harvesting machine - A gathering conveyor for a row unit of an agricultural harvesting machine, including an elongate flexible conveyor element configured for encircling spaced apart first and second rotatable elements, for rotation thereabout so as to move along a stalkway of a row unit adapted for receiving a stalk of a plant to be harvested by the row unit, the conveyor element including gathering elements for conveying harvested crops along the stalkway, including elements that project into the stalkway and elements that project in the opposite direction, each of the gathering elements having a stepped profile shape when viewed from a longitudinal direction wherein either the upper or lower terminal end portions thereof are shorter, so that the gathering elements of conveyors of adjacent row units having oppositely shortened end portions can overlap, to enable positioning of the row units in closer proximity.11-20-2008
20090107094Automatic control system for a header of an agricultural harvesting machine and method of operation of the same - A control system for a header for an agricultural harvesting machine such as a combine, providing features including an automatic reel position control operable to provide at least one selectable predetermined cutter bar and reel position combination, and which can also automatically control height and/or fore and aft positions of the reel responsive to cutter bar movements, as required, for purposes such as for maintaining and/or optimizing the reel/cutter bar relationship for a particular crop and/or condition, and for avoiding interference between the tines or fingers of the reel and the sickle of the cutter bar, and possible damage to the tines and/or sickles, and slippage of the reel and/or sickle drive, that can result.04-30-2009
20100251683Auger finger with resilient elastomeric retainer retractor - A finger for a crop gathering auger of a grain header for an agricultural combine, a forage harvester, or the like, the finger including a resilient elastomeric retainer retractor which spans a failure region of the finger and will retain a free end of the finger in connection with a mounting end thereof when the failure region is broken, and which is configured and operable for automatically retracting the broken off free end into an auger drum and retaining it therein during subsequent rotation of the drum for limiting potential damage from the broken end and preventing entry of the broken end into crop handling equipment of the combine or other machine.10-07-2010
