REDUCING POWER-SUPPLY-INDUCED JITTER IN A CLOCK-DISTRIBUTION CIRCUIT - A system for compensating for power-supply-induced jitter (PSIJ) in a chain of clock buffers within an integrated circuit is described. During operation, the system couples a first supply voltage from a first voltage source to a supply node of each clock buffer in a first chain of clock buffers. Note that a change in the first supply voltage causes a change in a first propagation delay associated with the first chain of the clock buffers. The system also couples a second chain of clock buffers in series with the first chain of clock buffers. The system then couples the first voltage source to each clock buffer in the second chain of clock buffers through coupling circuitry. Next, the system adjusts the coupling circuitry so that the change in the first supply voltage from the first voltage source causes a change in a second propagation delay associated with the second chain of the clock buffers, wherein the change in the first propagation delay and the change in the second propagation delay are complementary. | 05-05-2011

Method and apparatus for uploading content over wireless networks - Method and apparatus for uploading content from a user terminal in response to a request triggered at the user terminal to upload content is provided. An exemplary method includes initiating a test call at the user terminal to a wireless network in response to an indication to upload content from the user terminal, obtaining user-channel information for the test call and network-level state information for the user terminal during the test call, determining whether a user-channel condition and a network-level condition are satisfied based on the user-channel information and network-level state information respectively, and uploading the content to the wireless network in response to the user-channel condition and the network-level condition being satisfied. The user terminal obtains at the user terminal user-level state information and triggers the indication to upload content from the user terminal if the user-level condition is determined to be satisfied. | 06-17-2010

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATED TESTING SOFTWARE - A system for discovering, or at least providing information that might assist in discovering, compromised computers involved in a malicious distributed program. The system is based around a test computer which is deliberately infected by a component of the malicious distributed program. Traffic sent by that test computer when under control of that component is recorded. More sophisticated malicious programs alter the system files or system programs on the computer which they infect—this creates a problem in that automation of the discovery process is difficult to achieve. Embodiments described here overcome this problem by running through a list of malicious program components, and in between executing ( | 05-07-2009

Apparatus And Systems For Providing Location-Based Services Within A Wireless Network - A system for providing wireless telecommunications services to mobile devices includes structure and functionality for location-based services, and includes both server and client/mobile device apparatuses. One apparatus includes a data store storing at least a first record associated with a first wireless device or a second record associated with a second wireless device. A computer is coupled to the data store and is configured to receive a request from the first wireless device to obtain location information associated with the second wireless device. The computer is configured to receive a change location privileges request, and to update the first or second records in the data store based on the received change request. Other apparatuses provide additional structures and functions. | 11-19-2009
Web to IMS Registration and Authentication for an Unmanaged IP Client Device - Systems and methods are for registering and authenticating an unmanaged IP device to an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS). An exemplary method includes implementing a system from which an unmanaged IP device retrieves IMS credentials needed to register and authenticate to the IMS. The system is remote to the unmanaged IP device and is accessible to the unmanaged IP device through an IP access network. The method further includes permitting the unmanaged IP device to register and authenticate to the IMS with the IMS credentials received from the system. | 10-14-2010
