20110025629Dynamic Mode Switching for Fast Touch Response - A method of operating a touch-sensing surface may include determining a presence of at least one conductive object at the touch-sensing surface by performing a search measurement of a first set of sensor elements of the touch-sensing surface, and in response to determining the presence of the at least one conductive object, determining a location of the at least one conductive object by performing a tracking measurement of a second set of sensor elements of the touch-sensing surface.02-03-2011

20080246723Integrated button activation sensing and proximity sensing - Apparatuses and methods for coupling a group of sensor elements together in one mode to collectively measure a capacitance on the group of sensor elements, in addition to individually measuring a capacitance on each of the sensor elements in another mode. The touch-sensor buttons may be used individually for button-activation sensing, and the touch-sensor buttons may be used collectively for proximity detection. The touch-sensor buttons and a ground conductor that surrounds the touch-sensor buttons may also be collectively used for proximity detection. The apparatus may include a processing device, and a plurality of sensor elements that are individually coupled in a first mode for button-activation sensing and collectively coupled in a second mode for proximity sensing.10-09-2008

20100219012PASSIVE SPEAKER SYSTEM FOR PHONES AND OTHER DEVICES - An amplification device for use with a phone or other electronic device having a speaker. The amplification device typically includes an amplification structure having an input end and an output end, and an adapter located proximal to the input end and configured to engage a phone or other electronic device such that a speaker on the phone or other electronic device emanates sound into the input end, whereby the sound is amplified by the amplification structure.09-02-2010

20090220564METHODS OF TREATING AND PREVENTING ACUTE MYOCARDIAL INFARCTION - The present disclosure provides methods and compositions for treating coronary tissue damaged as a result of a cardiac disorder such as ischemia, acute myocardial infarction, vulnerable plaques, or reperfusion injury. Specifically, the cardiac disorder is treated using a multivalent molecule that is specific for a marker located, in or near the damaged coronary tissue and a marker located on a target cell (e.g., a stem cell). The multivalent molecule may be administered by intravenous injection, intra-arterial catheter, intramyocardial injection, or implantable device (e.g, stent).09-03-2009

20110166547Balloon Catheter Systems for Delivery of Dry Drug Delivery Vesicles to a Vessel in the Body - Devices and methods for balloon delivery of rapamycin and other hydrophobic compounds to the wall of blood vessels. Balloon catheters, such as those used for balloon angioplasty, are modified with the addition of a reservoir of dry micelles, disposed at a suitable location within the balloon or catheter. The reservoir may be installed within the angioplasty balloon, within a lumen in communication with the angioplasty balloon, either as a loose or packed powder or as a film coating. The micelle preparation is reconstituted and the micelles are mobilized when the aqueous solution used to inflate the balloons is injected into the catheter. The micelles are infused into tissue surrounding the balloon when pressurized fluid within the balloon leaks through the wall of the balloon.07-07-2011
