20140243830 | APPARATUS AND SYSTEMS FOR ROTARY OSTEOTOMY - Disclosed are apparatus and systems for rotary osteotomy that afford increased control of a trajectory angle and direction/re-direction of the tip of an osteotomy apparatus, controllability of the depth of the tip or fine rotation of the device, and tactile feedback. The apparatus includes a tip portion having a first diameter at a first end and a second diameter at a second end larger than the first diameter, wherein at least a part of the tip portion includes a plurality of pitched threads. A shank is fixedly connected to the second end of the tip portion and has at least a third diameter. A handle is fixedly connected to the shank and arranged distal from the tip portion. The handle has a fourth diameter that is at least greater than the second diameter of the tip portion and the third diameter of the shank. | 08-28-2014 |

20140296607 | PURIFICATION PROCESS - A process for removing halogen compounds, particularly chlorine compounds, from a process fluid, includes the steps of (i) passing a process fluid containing hydrogen halide over a first sorbent to remove hydrogen halide and generate a hydrogen halide depleted process fluid and then, (ii) passing the hydrogen halide depleted process fluid over a second different sorbent to remove organic halide compounds therefrom. A purification system suitable for removing hydrogen halide and organic halide compounds from process fluids is also described. | 10-02-2014 |

20150147970 | BLUETOOTH PAIRING SYSTEM, METHOD, AND APPARATUS - The system provides secure controlled access to multiple Bluetooth devices issued to users. For example an officer may be issued a weapon. To enable monitoring of weapon status, a Bluetooth sensor may be fitted to a holster and the Officer issued with a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone. In order to establish a secure Bluetooth connection between the devices, sensor contains a restored link key and the mobile phone stores a partial link key. The supervisor enters their username and password, and a secret key into the phone which is then used with the partial link key to generate a copy of the link key stored in the first device, so that a secure connection can be established with the first device. The officer enters their username and password into the sensor, and once the secure connection is established it is sent over the secure connection to the mobile phone which then sends both user names and passwords to a verification authority. If the officer is verified and authorized to issue the devices, an authorization message is returned and use of the devices allowed. If the authorization fails, a failure message is returned and the devices are not issued and features may be blocked. The verification authority may be internal or external to the phone. If the authority is external, then the supervisor's user name and password could be omitted. | 05-28-2015 |

20130013557 | METHOD OF UPDATING A DATABASE OF A NAVIGATION DEVICE AND NAVIGATION DEVICE - To update a database of a navigation device which stores at least a base version of a digital map, versions of the digital map which are available locally in the database or remotely from the navigation device are identified. To execute the navigation task, a version of the digital map is selected for execution of the navigation task. Data from a sub-set of storage blocks in which the selected version is stored is required to execute the navigation task. Depending on whether all storage blocks of the sub-set are already stored locally in the database, data stored in storage blocks of the sub-set which are not yet stored locally in the database are downloaded via a wireless interface. The downloaded data are stored in the database without modifying the base version of the digital map. | 01-10-2013 |
20130124544 | NAVIGATION SYSTEM WITH PRE-PARSED AND UNPARSED NAVIGATION DATA - A navigation system includes a database that stores navigation data used for providing the navigation information to the user, the navigation data being stored in data sets. An application is configured to process the navigation data in order to generate the navigation information. A parsing unit parses the data sets in such a way that a data structure of the data sets is identified and that the data sets can be executed by the application, wherein the navigation data contain first data sets which have been parsed by the parsing unit and which are stored in the database as pre-parsed data sets, each of the first data sets containing an indication that the data set is a pre-parsed data set, the navigation data further containing second data sets which have not been parsed and which are stored in the database as unparsed data sets. Each of the second data sets contains an indication that the data set is an unparsed data set. A control unit selects a data set needed to generate the navigation information and detects the indication of the data set, wherein the control unit, based on the indication of the data set, is configured to direct the selected data set to the parsing unit when identifying the selected data set as a second data set, or to a working memory of the navigation system from where the application accesses the selected data set, when identifying the selected data set as a second data set. | 05-16-2013 |

20140108360 | COMPRESSED NAVIGATION MAP DATA - A method for generating a compressed navigation map database from uncompressed navigation map data, wherein the uncompressed navigation map data contains different building blocks of navigation data, each building block addressing a functional aspect of the navigation data, each block containing strings of data. The method includes determining, for each block of the uncompressed navigation map data, most frequent substrings of the block; storing, for each block, the determined most frequent substrings of the block in a seed block; replacing, for each block, in the strings the determined most frequent substrings stored in the seed block by a reference to the seed block thereby generating a compressed block for each block; and storing, for each block, the compressed block and the seed block in order to generate the compressed navigation map database. | 04-17-2014 |
