| 20110161085 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUDIO SUMMARY OF ACTIVITY FOR USER - Techniques for audio summary of activity for a user include tracking activity at one or more network sources associated with a user. One audio stream that summarizes the activity over a particular time period is generated. The audio stream is caused to be delivered to a particular device associated with the user. A duration of a complete rendering of the audio stream is shorter than the particular time period. In some embodiments, a link to content related to at least a portion of the audio stream is also caused to be delivered for a user. | 06-30-2011 |

| 20110015924 | ACOUSTIC SOURCE SEPARATION - A method of separating a mixture of acoustic signals from a plurality of sources comprises: providing pressure signals indicative of time-varying acoustic pressure in the mixture; defining a series of time windows; and for each time window: a) providing from the pressure signals a series of sample values of measured directional pressure gradient; b) identifying different frequency components of the pressure signals c) for each frequency component defining an associated direction; and d) from the frequency components and their associated directions generating a separated signal for one of the sources. | 01-20-2011 |

| 20080306365 | DECEPTION DETECTION AND QUERY METHODOLOGY FOR DETERMINING DECEPTION VIA NEUROIMAGING - Functional near-infrared (fNIR) neuroimaging is used to assess credibility, detect deception, and implement a query methodology for determining deception via neuroimaging. Oxygenation levels of portions of the brain are imaged via fNIR spectroscopy and utilized to determine if the subject is telling a lie or a truth. In an example configuration, oxygenation levels in the inferior and/or middle prefrontal cortical areas of the brain, such as the bilateral dorsolateral prefrontal and/or inferior frontal cortex, are measured to determine if a subject is lying relative to telling the truth. An example system includes a portable, flexible, belt like sensing device that is positioned proximate the subjects scalp. Sensed neural activity is transmitted either through wired or wireless means, to a processor for analysis of the sensed neural activity. The query methodology utilizes an attestation assertion that mitigates variance in brain responses due to the length or form of a question. | 12-11-2008 |
