20110061257Accessory Drying Insert - An accessory drying insert system consisting of a flexible cylinder shaped body made of cloth fabric which is filled with reusable desiccant beads. A fabric loop is attached at one end to facilitate removal from object being dried. The cloth wicks the moisture so it is drawn to the desiccant, where the desiccant traps the moisture. The desiccant beads are packed within the cylinder shaped body tight enough to give it shape, but loose enough to make the insert flexible like a bean bag in order to allow for easy installation and removal from the accessory being dried. The flexibility of the insert allows the drying system to be used for a multitude of accessories including boots, shoes, socks, gloves, waders, helmets, hats, gear bags, and sleeping bags. The desiccant beads allow for easy regeneration by placing the insert in direct sunlight, near or on a heat source, or by heating in a microwave oven.03-17-2011

20100035589SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING AN INTERACTIVE CONTENT PORTAL ON A MOBILE DEVICE - A portal application is provided that can be used on a mobile device to display relevant advertising content to the user at convenient times. The portal application can utilize a portal browser that is launched when appropriate, which displays the advertising content in an interactive way and enables the user to follow up with tasks requiring a data connection that is currently unavailable, by keeping track of a user queue. The advertising content may be filtered from a base of advertising content provided by the advertising content providers in advanced and is pre-fetched and stored in an advertising content cache for convenient access when appropriate. The portal application can be used with a location estimator to narrow and categorize the advertising content at least in part based on location, either physical location or preferred location or both based on a hierarchy of relevant data.02-11-2010
20100041422SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR INCORPORATING MULTIMEDIA CONTENT INTO A MESSAGE HANDLED BY A MOBILE DEVICE - Multimedia content can be incorporated into a message handled by a mobile device with minimum invasiveness by utilizing linking mechanisms that are visually identifiable with certain content and can reveal the multimedia content, e.g. an advertisement, upon selection. This may be done by examining content in the message handled by a mobile device and matching portions of the message with predetermined criteria such as keywords or phrases. Upon finding matches, corresponding multimedia content is associated with a respective portion of the message content and access to the multimedia content is enabled through selection of a linking mechanism that is visually identifiable with the respective portion of the message. The message is modified to include such linking mechanisms such that upon viewing the modified message, a user may reveal the multimedia content by selecting the linking mechanism.02-18-2010
20100222040MOBILE WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM PROVIDING DEVICE ICON NOTIFICATION INDICIA FRAMING AND RELATED METHODS - A wireless communications system may include a notification server and at least one mobile wireless communications device. The at least one mobile wireless communications device may include a display, a wireless transceiver, a user input device, and a processor. The processor may be for displaying a plurality of selectable icons on the display, and retrieving notification data from the notification server via the wireless transceiver. The processor may also be for indicating a selected one of the icons on the display based upon the user input device by displaying notification indicia framing around the selected icon based upon the notification data from the notification server.09-02-2010

20100042911SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING CONTENT ON A MOBILE DEVICE BY CONTROLLING AN APPLICATION INDEPENDENT OF USER ACTION - An advertising application is provided that can be used on a mobile device to impose screen control restrictions on a portion of the mobile device display, in order to provide a controllable mechanism for displaying advertising content. The advertising application causes the display screen to be split into two or more portions, with an advertising application display having limited screen control so that advertising content can be played according to a schedule or at event driven times as dictated by an administrator or other entity so that the mobile device's services may be subsidized in part by the advertising content providers. The advertising display runs independent of the normal, user initiated applications and does not need to consider screen placement within the normally running applications and is not dependent on when the user decides to close down an application.02-18-2010

20110287744System And Method Of Authenticating Login Credentials In A Wireless Communication System - A technique in a wireless mobile device for use in enabling service sessions with a host service via a wireless network is described. The device receives a host login credential from the host service, and saves it in memory. The device detects a logoff trigger for logging off from an enabled service session with the host service. In response to detecting the logoff trigger, the device performing the following actions. The device prompts with, in a display, an entry screen having a field for entry of a device login credential for use in logging on to a subsequent service session with the host service. The device receives, via a user I/O subsystem, the device login credential in response to the prompting, and saves it in memory. After receiving and saving the device login credential, the device logs off from the enabled service session with the host service. After the logging off from the enabled service session, the device detects a login trigger for logging on to the subsequent service session with the host service. In response to detecting the login trigger, the device authenticates the saved device login credential with the saved host login credential.11-24-2011
