20130073352 | DYNAMIC GROUP DISCOUNTING - A system and method for sellers to provide dynamic group discounting to buyers of products and/or services is provided. The system and method allows a seller to determine discount parameters that will be applied to a quantity of goods and/or services to be sold. A purchaser agrees to pay full price for the goods and/or services and may later be provided with a unique discount relative to other purchasers based in part on when the purchaser bought the goods and/or services during the sale period. The system and method may utilize a discount curve to determine the amount of the discount each individual purchaser, or groups of purchasers, will receive. | 03-21-2013 |

20150180892 | COUNTERING SECURITY THREATS WITH THE DOMAIN NAME SYSTEM - Described herein are methods, systems, and apparatus in which the functionality of a DNS server is modified to take into account security intelligence when determining an answer to return in response to a requesting client. Such a DNS server may consider a variety of security characteristics about the client and/or the client's request, as described more fully herein. Such a DNS server can react to clients in a variety of ways based on the threat assessment, preferably in a way that proactively counters or mitigates the perceived threat. | 06-25-2015 |

20110290329 | Large Area Water Redistribution Network - A system and methods for the redistribution of water as a resource across large geographic distances where water deficits are matched with excess water conditions. The system utilizes a large area network of water conduits that extend between nodes, generally between water reservoirs and water usage areas. The system receives water into the network from geographic areas experiencing excess water and distributes the excess water to areas experiencing water deficits. The system includes terminal nodes having water inlet/outlet systems with metering and pumping components coupled with flow control valves. Each terminal node positioned at an existing reservoir is controlled to permit the inlet of water into the system or the discharge of water from the system. Intermediate nodes incorporate similar flow metering and pumping components as well as flow control valve components. The system is monitored and controlled through wired or wireless communication from a central station. The method provides for the establishment of normal water level ranges and the monitoring of a large number of geographic areas for excess water or water deficit conditions. The system matches excess water areas with deficit regions and coordinates the transfer of water between such regions. Excess water regions may also be coordinated with multiple normal water level regions for the distribution of excess water over a large area. A water deficit region without a direct match to a water excess region may draw from multiple normal regions. | 12-01-2011 |

20120171701 | IDENTIFICATION OF REGULATORY T CELLS VIA THE GLOBAL GENE REGULATOR SATB1 - A method for the identification of regulatory T cells based on the diminished abundance or even absence of the global gene regulator SATB1 in such regulatory T cells. In particular, the invention relates to a method utilizing ligands that specifically bind to SATB1 for identifying regulatory T cells which are cells showing a reduced binding to said ligand. Such method is suitable for quality determination of a regulatory T cell population. A kit or diagnostic composition for such method is also disclosed. | 07-05-2012 |
20140349313 | DATA ANALYSIS METHODS UTILIZING PHENOTYPIC PROPERTIES - The present invention provides a method of identifying sub-populations of cells in a cellular sample. Aspects of the method include categorizing cells of the cellular sample into at least a first and second population based on a first phenotypic property. The method may further include sub-categorizing each of the first and second population into sub-populations of cells based on a second and third phenotypic property, e.g., by using X detectable labels providing Y distinct signals, wherein X>Y, to identify sub-populations of cells in the cellular sample. | 11-27-2014 |
