20090107737MULTIPLE-SENSOR-ELECTRODE CAPACITIVE BUTTON - Methods for determining actuation of a capacitive button having at least three sensor electrode elements associated with at least three distinct sensor electrodes are described. In one embodiment, indicia from the at least three distinct sensor electrodes associated with the at least three sensor electrode elements comprising the capacitive button are received. At least three electrode values are generated from the indicia. The at least three electrode values are then utilized to determine actuation of the capacitive button.04-30-2009
20090128374DETERMINING ACTUATION OF MULTI-SENSOR-ELECTRODE CAPACITIVE BUTTONS - Methods for determining actuation of a capacitive button are described. In some embodiments, indicia from the at least three distinct sensor electrodes associated with at least three sensor electrode elements comprising the capacitive button are received, the indicia indicative of interaction of an input object with the at least three distinct sensor electrodes. The actuation of the capacitive button is then determined, based at least in part on satisfying a set of criteria comprising: a location condition concerning a location of the input object relative to a center of the capacitive button, and a coupling condition concerning a change in capacitive coupling of the at least three distinct sensor electrodes associated with the at least three sensor electrode elements comprising the capacitive button.05-21-2009
20090237274SYSTEM FOR DETERMINING POINTER POSITION, MOVEMENT, AND ANGLE - An a data input system includes an encoded pad having position encoding and a data input device adapted to image a portion of the encoded pad to determine position and orientation of the data input device relative to the encoded pad. The encoding pad includes a plurality of correlation windows. Each correlation window includes a primary encoding marker in form of vertical line segment and a set of secondary encoding markers in form of diagonal line segments, at least one diagonal line segment intersecting the vertical line segment at an intersection angle. Spacing of the diagonal line segments encodes the X-axis position of the input device relative to the encoding pad. Intersection angle encodes the Y-axis position of the input device relative to the encoding pad. Angle of the primary encoding marker vertical line segment within the frame of the captured image encodes the angular orientation of the input device relative to the axes of the encoded pad.09-24-2009

20100066779METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR NOZZLE COMPENSATION IN NON-CONTACT MATERIAL DEPOSITION - A method of printing is provided where printing is using a first printing unit having redundant nozzles. Then, the method may include stopping the printing with the first printing unit while continuing the printing with active nozzles of a second printing unit. The method may include inspecting the first printing unit and identifying faulty nozzles, then designating the faulty nozzles as inactive and designating inactive nozzles of the first printing unit as a new active nozzle. According to some embodiments the method may include moving the first printing unit to an inspection zone prior to inspecting while continuing the printing with active nozzles of a second printing unit and moving the first printing unit back to the printing zone after inspection and continuing the printing with the first printing unit.03-18-2010
20110151665METHOD FOR NON-CONTACT MATERIALS DEPOSITION - Embodiments of the invention are directed to a method of printing lines. The method may include depositing material on a substrate from a plurality of nozzles to form a multi-layered line of a desired cross section area or a desired height by dispensing the material in at least two layers in a single scan. Each layer may be printed by different nozzles and the number of layers in the line is determined based on the desired cross section area or height.06-23-2011

20080304805PREPARING AND PRESENTING A PREVIEW OF VIDEO PLACEMENT ADVERTISEMENTS - A method and system for preparing a video advertising insertion clip that utilizes an existing video presentation that currently features and/or will feature virtual product placement. The advertising insertion clip is obtained with minimal additional production resources and overhead in conjunction with a virtual product placement process. By the use of scripts, metadata, and/or equivalent machine-readable instructions or commands, the process can be configured to automatically generate insertion clips for video presentations that are repurposed and/or to be repurposed.12-11-2008
