20110286870System and Method for Holding Tubing for a Peristaltic Pump that Prevents Tubing Stretch or Deformation - An enhancement for a peristaltic pump that, in a particular embodiment, can be a thin concave spring member or other mechanism with at least one tubing notch adapted to be mounted on a peristaltic pump frame such that peristaltic pump tubing can pass through a notch in the spring member, through the peristaltic pump and through a notch in a similar thin concave spring member mounted on an opposite side of said peristaltic pump so that the spring members prevent tube-stretching or deformation of the tubing. Numerous other embodiments are possible. All of the embodiments allow attaching a first and second notched spring-clamp or other tubing holder onto the input and output sides of a peristaltic pump frame; threading peristaltic pump tubing through a notch or other part in a first spring-clamp or tubing holder, through the peristaltic pump and through a notch or other part in a second spring-clamp or tubing holder.11-24-2011

20080257912Plug and play fluid dispensing technology - A plug and play system of fluid dispensing and auxiliary modules that use motors with integrated drivers, controllers and the capability of using an internal or external encoder where any one of several modules can be substituted into a base dispensing unit. In the case of positive displacement piston drives, a first motor can be used for the rotary valve operations and a second motor used to position the pump piston. The piston can be very accurately positioned by the second motor that can use an external linear coding system electrically coupled to the motor controller. The invention allows coordination between the two motors of a positive displacement piston system, as well as being able to work with several pump systems linked together in a liquid filling application or other application. The use of a motor system with a common user interface for different types of pump drives allows for “plug and play” capability for liquid filling and other applications. The easy changing of pump drives is often necessary because applications that use positive piston pump dispensing may need to be replaced with peristaltic or rolling diaphragm pumps if the product being dispensed is shear sensitive. The present invention allows changes of pumps with minimal difficulty.10-23-2008

20090126691Super Cooled Air And Fuel Induction System For Internal Combustion Engines - The instant invention provides an apparatus and system for cooling the air charge of an internal combustion engine. More specifically, the instant invention provides an air-induction system suitable to provide cooled air charges to turbocharged, supercharged or naturally aspirated internal combustion engines to increase power output while reducing engine emissions. The system utilizes gaseous fuel stored as a liquid wherein the liquefied gaseous fuel is vaporized and warmed at least partially with heat removed from the intake air charge supplied to the engine from the turbocharger or supercharger. In a preferred embodiment, the compressed intake combustion air is first cooled in an aftercooler against an ambiently cooled coolant and is subsequently cooled further by the chiller of the instant invention which utilizes the change in phase, between liquid and gas, of the alternative fuel to cool the incoming air charge. The fuel, in the gaseous phase, is then supplied to the engine in a controlled manner for combustion by the engine. The operation of this system is measured and controlled by a control box mounted in the engine compartment.05-21-2009
