20090120986Pivoting hitch-mountable bicycle carrier - A bicycle rack is configured for mounting to a hitch behind a vehicle. The bike rack may include a mast and a mechanism for locking the mast in an upright position, or alternatively, permitting downward rotation of the mast away from the vehicle for access purposes. The rack includes arms and mounting devices for supporting various tubular components for the bicycle frame.05-14-2009
20090236382Hitch mounted bicycle racks for vehicles - A compact carrier apparatus includes one or more bicycle carriers. Each carrier includes wheel support sections configured to engage front and rear bicycle wheels, and a stabilizing arm with a gripping member configured to grip one of the wheels. A wheel support section includes a wheel engagement member disposed on an outer edge of the carrier support structure and oriented so that an engaged wheel projects beyond the outer edge. A bracing arm may selectively extend in a cantilevered fashion relative to the support structure to provide an additional load-bearing support point for such a wheel. The stabilizing arm may be mounted to the support structure at a location rearward of a wheel engagement member, and pivotable to a carrying position to grip the wheel. The path of the stabilizing arm, in the carrying position, traverses the center of the wheel and avoids passing over the fork or the brakes.09-24-2009

20090120984Hitch-mountable bicycle carrier - A bicycle rack for carrying bicycles behind a vehicle includes a tongue configured for connection to a vehicle hitch. A base portion includes wheel trays for supporting the wheels of a bicycle in cooperation with a slidable hook for contacting the top tube of a bicycle.05-14-2009
20090120985Hitch mounted article carriers for vehicles - An article carrier configured to be detachably mounted to a trailer hitch of a vehicle is disclosed. The article carrier may include a frame having first and second end portions with the first end portion being pivotably mounted to the base allowing the frame to be selectively pivoted about a first axis between a substantially vertical position in which the frame extends upwardly from the base, and a substantially horizontal position in which the frame extends sidewardly from the base, the first axis being parallel to a longitudinal axis of the vehicle; and a carrier assembly connected to the second end portion of the frame and configured to support one or more articles.05-14-2009

20080257206Dye-based black ink formulations and ink-jet ink sets - Dye-based black ink formulations, ink-jet ink sets, and methods of making a dye-based black ink formulation, are disclosed.10-23-2008
20080257207Dye-based ink formulations - Dye-based ink formulations and methods of making dye-based ink formulations are disclosed.10-23-2008
20080266334Ink-jet inks for neutral black printing - Ink, ink sets, and methods of printing are provided. The inks can include an aqueous solvent system including from about 5 wt % to about 20 wt % organic co-solvent, from about 2 wt % to about 5 wt % black dye, and a dye selected from cyan, magenta, and yellow dyes. The ink can be formulated such that upon printing on a print medium, the printed ink or inks can maintain a neutral black, defined by a chroma value of less than 7. This neutral black can be maintained such that the printed ink or image has a chroma value of less than 7 for substantially all L* values ranging from about 7 to about 12.10-30-2008
20090035795METHOD AND COMPOSITION FOR FORMING A UNIFORM LAYER ON A SUBSTRATE - A method of reducing thickness non-uniformity in a microjet-deposited solids layer is disclosed which comprises depositing onto a substrate by microjet deposition a composition containing a liquid vehicle, at least one reagent; and a polyol which is present at a concentration that enhances thickness uniformity of a solids layer, containing the reagent(s), which is formed when the microjet-deposited composition is dried.02-05-2009
20110043577Black Ink-jet Inks With Reduced Lightness And Haze - A method of decreasing L*min and reducing stacked haze in a black region of an ink-jet printed image is disclosed which comprises providing an ink-jet ink receptive medium and ink-jetting at least one ink-jet ink onto the medium to form a printed medium comprising an image having at least one black region. At least one of the ink-jet inks includes a black ink-jet ink comprising a liquid vehicle and a certain black azo dye having the Formula 1. The method includes stacking the printed medium, to obtain a printed medium having decreased L*min and reduced stacked haze in the black region(s).02-24-2011

20110037619Traffic Routing Using Intelligent Traffic Signals, GPS and Mobile Data Devices - A traffic routing system reduces emissions from commuter and other traffic, eases congestion on roadways, and decreases transit time by use of communications among vehicles and traffic controls, such as traffic lights. In one aspect, a traffic light receives a signal that a vehicle is approaching and in response turns green to allow the vehicle to pass without impairment. In another aspect, a vehicle receives a signal to adjust a current rate of speed to arrive when a traffic signal allows vehicles to pass. In still another aspect, a combination of congestion, emergency traffic, roadwork and similar factors influence proposed routes sent to vehicles.02-17-2011
