20080255882SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAINTAINING MEDICATION ADMINISTRATOR RECORDS - Several embodiments of medication administrator record keeping systems (MAR Systems). The MAR systems include MAR forms and a writing system adapted to permit health care providers to write onto the forms and to electronically capture pen stroke information corresponding to the written information. The MAR forms are associated with specific patients. The penstroke information is used to update an image of the MAR forms. The pen stroke information is also used to update information in a MAR database module. The MAR database module may be updated manually be a technician or automatically by a MAR data processing module. Some MAR forms may include action fields that trigger an action. For example, some MAR forms include a reorder action field that triggers a process of reordering meds for a patient.10-16-2008
20100274581ELECTRONIC SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING DRUG PRESCRIPTIONS - Some embodiments of the invention provide an electronically-aided system and method for processing drug prescriptions in a manner that may reduce the number of lost and/or incorrectly filled drug prescriptions without disrupting existing operating procedures within a pharmacy or an inpatient health-care facility. In such embodiments, the potential for human error is reduced by reducing the number of times information is manually processed, handled and/or transcribed by individuals in the health-care staff. By contrast, hand-written notes and instructions provided by a doctor are automatically electronically captured by a digitally-enabled pen, as the doctor writes. The respective electronically captured data can be processed into image files and sent to a pharmacy, thereby significantly reducing the number of times information is manually processed, handled and/or transcribed by individuals in the health-care staff.10-28-2010

20120119061Concrete Forming Panel - Concrete forming panels according to the present invention are formed using a series of interlocking panel sections mechanically connected at a forward face of the panel. The mechanical connection uses a hook portion of one section received in a slot portion of an adjacent section with a pivot and stop relation defining the planar forming face. A series of brace members extend across the panel sections on a rear surface and maintain engagement of the panel sections and reinforce the panel sections against deformation of the forming face during use of the panel. The arrangement is economical to manufacture in many different sizes as may be required by a customer. Some welding is used, however the mechanical connection greatly reduces the amount of welding required. Replacement sections can easily be used to repair damaged panels.05-17-2012

20100014594Splicing of Encrypted Video/Audio Content - System and method for performing a splice operation on an encrypted or unencrypted MPEG-2 transport stream. A splice trigger is received at a pre-conditioning encoder. In response, the encoder generates, e.g., an SCTE-35 cue message that is intended to be received by a splicer. Also in response to the splice trigger, the encoder encodes/conditions a network feed such that a decoder buffer delay reaches a predefined value at a video frame of the network feed that corresponds to a splice point indicated by the SCTE-35 cue message. The network feed may then be encrypted in a known fashion. At the splicer, another feed is switched into the stream at the splice point, wherein the another feed is encoded such that a decoder buffer delay at a video frame of the another feed corresponding to the splice point is the same as the predefined value. The predefined value is defined as DTS−STC, where DTS is a Decoding Time Stamp and STC is a System Time Clock. The pre-conditioning encoder generates around the splice point audio PES packets that contain a single aligned audio frame.01-21-2010
20100293571Signalling Buffer Characteristics for Splicing Operations of Video Streams - In one method embodiments, providing a transport stream to a client device, the transport stream comprising a head stream and a tail stream, the head stream and the tail stream each comprising a compressed video sequence; providing information in a transport stream packet associated with the head stream, the information configured to cause the client device to selectively control an output of at least one of a plurality of pictures of the head stream yet to be output from a decoded picture buffer (DPB) at an out-point from the head stream to the trail stream.11-18-2010

20080274760POWER MANAGEMENT AND DISTRIBUTED SCHEDULING FOR UPLINK TRANSMISSIONS IN WIRELESS SYSTEMS - To schedule uplink transmission time slots for a collection of mobile communication devices, a set of base station target interference patterns is associated with base stations. A time slot target interference pattern is assigned for each time slot and it repeats after several time slots. The time slot target interference pattern in a given time slot specifies the interference allowed by each time slot to a given base station by any single mobile. A priority index may be determined for each time slot for each mobile associated with the particular base station. The priority index may be based, in part, on a determined correlation between the time-slot target interference patterns and a potential interference profile of a mobile to which a time slot is to be allocated. A mobile's throughput requirement, the throughput already received over a specified past duration, the system fairness requirement, as well as the amount of data available for transmission are also used for evaluating the priority index.11-06-2008

20110090850System and Method for Adaptive Frame Size Management in a Wireless Multihop Network - A system and method for adaptively managing frame size in a wireless multihop network is disclosed. In one embodiment, a packet is transmitted from a source to a destination. A acknowledgement packet is received and a successful acknowledgement packet counter is incremented if the acknowledgement packet arrives prior to a time-out of a timer. A frame size is increased if the successful acknowledgement packet counter reaches a specified value. If the acknowledgement packet arrives after the time-out of the timer, the successful acknowledgement packet counter is reset and the frame size is decreased. These procedures can be repeated until the frame size is greater than or equal to a maximum frame size or less than or equal to a minimum frame size.04-21-2011
