| 20080251244 | Three Pipe System - The 3-pipe system is a new method of building closed hydraulic networks for heat transfer and fluid distribution. Generally, the new system can be applied in HVAC networks and ensures better and more stable network behaviour during flow adjustment. In other words, it ensures hydraulically balanced networks with optimal behaviour. The basic characteristic of the new three-pipe system is that the central distribution pipe is split into two, in which water flows in the same direction as in the central distribution pipe. Subsequently, the two pipes are joined in one, which is the return pipe. Thus, the pipes create a central loop, which includes the terminal units. The one part of the loop is the point where the terminal unit branches start and the other is where they end. Water flow is ensured by means of a local circulator, which compensates for pressure drop in the branch. In case of reverse flow in deactivated terminal units, a non-return valve is recommended for each terminal unit. The structure of the patent is demonstrated in FIG. <8>. | 20100299159 | METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MANAGING INFORMED CONSENT PROCESSES - The systems and methods provide a dynamic process for obtaining and managing informed consent documentation. In general, the dynamic informed consent process (DICP) makes use of an intermediary organization, e.g., a trusted intermediary, which: (a) provides ICFs which have been dynamically generated for a specified trial or medical procedure and based on particular state or federal requirements, if any; and (b) archives copies of signed ICFs. In certain preferred embodiments, there may also be a procedure to provide training materials, such as audio or video presentations, to be viewed by prospective participants. In certain preferred embodiments, the process also includes contacting subjects who have signed ICFs in the event that there is a change of circumstance which the subject may deem material to whether s/he would continue to consent, or whether the participant needs to provide a different type of consent to participate in particular event or trial. | 11-25-2010 |

| 20110283791 | Apparatus and Method for Measuring and Recording Data from Violent Events - An apparatus is provided for recording information about an event resulting in application of a force to a body. The apparatus comprises data recording means for recording the information, sensor means for sensing a parameter which enables a predetermined source of force to be distinguished from another, predetermined source of force, and control means responsive to the sensed parameter for controlling the data recording means. The sensor means may comprise a pressure sensor for sensing shockwaves resulting from an explosive force and the resulting signal used to distinguish from other events, such as blunt impacts. The pressure signal may be used to control the storage of acceleration data for injury analysis. | 11-24-2011 |

| 20080310072 | Spark Gap Protection Device - A spark gap protection device is provided. The device comprises a plurality of spark gaps and a plurality of windings. Each spark gap is connected to at least one winding which is inductively coupled to an associated winding connected to another spark gap so that, in use, a surge current flowing across a spark gap and through a winding connected to the spark gap induces a voltage in the associated inductively coupled winding connected to another spark gap. This forces the other spark gap to trigger, thereby distributing the surge current between the spark gaps. | 12-18-2008 |
