20080257812Jet Loop Wastewater Treatment System - The current invention is referred to a process for biological wastewater treatment. One or more ejectors pump atmospheric oxygen in a bioreactor by aspirating air. The innovative concept of the system relies on the installation of the ejector (s) over and outside of the liquid to be treated at the bioreactor. The operation of the system consists basically in one centrifugal pump per ejector, that pumps the effluent through the ejector, creating with the effluent the liquid motor that aspires air in specific points of the ejector. The ejector (s) are used for bioreactors having a minimum depth of 7.5 m and a draft tube inside. The ejector is characterized by a set of non moving pieces (10-23-2008

20090236306STOPPERS OF COMPOSITE CORK MATERIAL FOR SPARKLING WINES AND THE PROCESS FOR THEIR PRODUCTION - This invention concerns stoppers made from composite material for sparkling wines consisting of two types of cork agglomerate which are closely bonded and produced from two ranges of granulates of different granulometry, where the joining surface between the two agglomerates is irregular due to their interpenetration. The invention also concerns the production process of these stoppers by individual moulding (piece by piece), whereby the simultaneous feeding of the two types of granulate and the respective additives is done and the mould is closed by compression and then heated for a time for polymerisation. The granulates used are normally treated with a reactive agglomerant consisting of, for example, quasi-prepolymer based od TDI or quasi de-moulding, the unfinished stopper is stabilised, and later machined to the final dimensions.09-24-2009

A production process of such stoppers by individual moulding (piece by piece), where there is simultaneous feeding of two types of granulate and respective additives into a mould. The mould is then closed and the material compressed and heated for an appropriate time for polymerisation. The granulates used are normally treated with a reactive agglomerant consisting of, for example, quasi-prepolymer based on TDI or quasi-prepolymer based on MDI base. After de-moulding, the unfinished stopper is stabilised, and later machined to the final dimensions.04-19-2012

20080269828Non-Invasive Battery Recharger for Electronic Cardiac Implants - The present invention refers to a device used to recharge the battery of electronic cardiac implants, like implanted pacemakers and defibrillators. It can be used to recharge the battery after an emergency requirement, such as: defibrillation or in diagnosis and or reprogramming of implants, during which no energy is demanded from the internal battery, seeing that the energy feed becomes guaranteed (accepted) by the proposed device. The invention is composed by three essential components: a generator (A), a transmitter unit (B) and a receptor coil (C). The generator is destined to produce an energy signal with determined amplitude and frequency and that is carried across through a coaxial cable to the transmitter unit (B). The emitted magnetic field is captured by the receptor coil (C) that is implanted inside the human body, generating a voltage with the absence of the Gibbs phenomenon. Furthermore, the battery recharging device guarantees the energetic supply of a communication channel between the exterior for diagnosis and/or implant reprogramming. In this case, there will be no demand of energy from the internal battery.10-30-2008
