20140103260 | PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A SYNGAS INTERMEDIATE SUITABLE FOR THE PRODUCTION OF HYDROGEN - Disclosed is a process for the production of a syngas mixture by catalytic partial oxidation. The syngas mixture is suitable as an intermediate in the production of hydrogen. According to the invention, the syngas is cooled, prior to a water gas shift reaction, with liquid water. This has the advantage of avoiding the problem of metal dusting, and it presents a gas mixture comprising water vapor that is particularly suitable for a water gas shift reaction in the production of hydrogen. | 04-17-2014 |
20140105814 | METHOD FOR HYDROGEN PRODUCTION - The present invention relates to a method for hydrogen production and to a method of hydrogen and/or carbon dioxide production from syngas. The method comprises the steps of: (i) providing a gas stream comprising hydrogen and carbon monoxide, (ii) separating at least part of hydrogen from the stream yielding a hydrogen-depleted stream, (iii) subjecting the hydrogen-depleted stream to a water-gas shift reaction, and (iv) separating hydrogen from the stream resulting from step (iii). The method according to the invention improves the conversion of carbon monoxide in the water gas shift reaction and allows to increase the hydrogen production by 10-15% and to increase the overall energy efficiency of the system by 5-7%. The invention further relates to a plant for hydrogen and/or carbon dioxide production suitable for the method of the invention. | 04-17-2014 |
20140170052 | PROCESS FOR PRODUCING AMMONIA AND UREA - Disclosed is a process for the production of ammonia comprising a step wherein synthesis gas is formed by catalytic partial oxidation. Also disclosed is a process of producing urea, wherein ammonia is formed in a process involving a step of catalytic partial oxidation, and carbon dioxide formed in the same process is reacted with said ammonia so as to form urea. | 06-19-2014 |
20140256994 | METHOD FOR PRODUCING SYNTHESIS GAS FOR METHANOL PRODUCTION - Method for producing synthesis gas for methanol production The present invention relates to a method for producing synthesis gas from a hydrocarbon containing feed, which synthesis gas is particularly suitable for subsequent use in methanol production. In this method, a hydrocarbon containing feed, particularly natural gas (100), is subjected to catalytic partial oxidation (CPO) (2), followed by the water gas shift (WGS) (4) reaction of a part of the reformed feed. At least part of the shifted feed is then subjected to hydrogen purification, preferably by pressure swing adsorption (PSA) (5) to obtain pure hydrogen (108), which hydrogen is subsequently combined with the remaining parts of the feeds to yield synthesis gas particularly suitable for methanol synthesis. The recombined stream preferably has an R ratio, being the molar ratio (H | 09-11-2014 |

20090033105 | Dual Door Release Handle - The present invention is a dual door release handle and related mechanisms for use with cabs of industrial vehicles that an operator may reach from outside of such a cab in order to fully release a door that has been propped open in order to close it. The dual door release handle of the present invention includes a latching mechanism having a handle mounted on the inside of the cab that extends into the doorway such that it may be reached through the open door of the cab by an operator who is located outside and/or below the cab. A linkage is provided between this handle and an operable device associated with the release mechanism inside the cab. The linkage is operatively attached to the handle and to the release mechanism such that turning the handle causes the linkage to move the release mechanism. Movement of the handle pulls the linkage and releases the holdback holding the open door against the side of the cab. Thus, an operator may reach up into the cab from the outside and pull down on the interior handle in order to release the door from its holdback position against the side of the cab allowing the door to swing freely so that it may be closed. | 02-05-2009 |
