20100144691Treatment of Female Fertility Conditions Through Modulation of the Autonomic Nervous System - Methods are provided for treating a subject for a fertility condition. In accordance with the subject methods, at least a portion of a subject's autonomic nervous system is modulated to increase the sympathetic activity/parasympathetic activity ratio in a manner that is effective to treat the subject for the condition. Embodiments of the subject invention include modulating a subject's autonomic nervous system using electrical energy and/or one or more pharmacological agents. The subject methods find use in the treatment of a variety of different fertility conditions. Also provided are kits for use in practicing the subject methods.06-10-2010
20100260669Treatment of Seasonal Conditions Through Modulation of the Autonomic Nervous System - Multi-dose active agent packages and methods for using the same for treating a subject for a condition are provided. Aspects of the invention include a multi-dose active agent package containing a plurality of unit dosage forms of an active agent configured to modulate at least a portion of a subject's autonomic nervous system during at least one season of the year. The active agent is present in an amount sufficient to alter the parasympathetic activity/sympathetic activity ratio of the subject in a manner effective to treat the subject for the condition. The subject active agent packages and methods find use in the treatment of a variety of different conditions, including disease conditions that increase in severity and/or occurrence during one or more seasons of the year. Also provided are kits for use in practicing the subject methods.10-14-2010
20100262220Expandable Vessel Harness for Treating Vessel Aneurysms - A harness for treating vessel aneurysms is disclosed. The harness applies elastic, compressive reinforcement on the aneurysm to reduce deleterious wall tension and to resist the shape change of the vessel. Rather than imposing a dimension beyond which the aneurysm cannot expand, the harness provides no hard limit over the range of systolic expansion of the vessel. Instead, the harness follows the contour of the vessel throughout systole and continuously exerts gentle resistance to stretch. Also disclosed is a method of delivering the vessel harness to the vessel with minimal invasion.10-14-2010
20100280116LINOLEIC ACID ACTIVE AGENTS FOR ENHANCING PROBABILITY OF BECOMING PREGNANT - The present invention is directed to a methods and compositions for enhancing the probability that a subject will become pregnant. The method comprises administering to a subject a pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of a linoleic acid active agent, e.g., linoleic acid, a polyunsaturated fatty acid analog thereof, etc. Also provided are kits that find use in practicing the subject methods. The subject methods and compositions find use in a variety of different applications, including but not limited to the treatment of infertility conditions.11-04-2010
20100286734Treatment of Conditions Through Modulation of the Autonomic Nervous System - Methods are provided for treating a subject for a condition by modulating at least a portion of the subject's autonomic nervous system. In accordance with certain embodiments of the subject methods, at least a portion of a subject's autonomic nervous system is electrically or pharmacologically modulated in a manner that is effective to treat the subject for the condition. The subject methods find use in the treatment of a variety of different conditions, where such conditions include various disease conditions. Also provided are systems and kits for use in practicing the subject methods.11-11-2010
20110015188Treatment of Seasonal Conditions - Multi-dose active agent packages and methods for using the same for treating a subject for a condition are provided.
