20080276091Mobile Device File Sharing Method and Apparatus - File sharing between mobile devices is enabled using a hierarchical Distributed Hash Table (DHT) based message routing system. According to one embodiment, mobile device electronic content is shared via an overlay network of computer nodes arranged according to a hierarchical DHT by a mobile device generating a message. The message includes a key configured to identify mobile device electronic content and to enable routing of the message based on the hierarchical DHT through the overlay network upon reception of the message at any of the computer nodes. The message is transmitted to a packet-switched radio access network, the packet-switched radio access network configured to send the message to one or more of the computer nodes. The message is eventually routed to the computer node responsible for the key. The responsible computer node processes the message, e.g., by registering electronic content, deregistering electronic content or responding to an electronic content request.11-06-2008
20100061385METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING A ROUTING ARCHITECTURE FOR OVERLAY NETWORKS - A link state overlay routing protocol that is capable of routing based on flat identifiers is proposed. The very fundamental problem that exists with 5 routing based on flat identifiers is that the identifier space can not be aggregated. All existing routing is based on hierarchy and aggregations of IP-addresses to network addresses, so called subnetting. The proposed routing protocol is capable of deciding the best path to a destination taking into account different possible parameters (e.g., round trip time). The scalability of the 10 protocol is solved by not taking decisions based upon a single end-node identifier; instead the routing decisions are taken based on a network identifier.03-11-2010
20100287372MAIL SERVER AND METHOD FOR SENDING E-MAILS TO THEIR RECIPIENTS - The present invention relates to a mail server for a network. The mail server has a sender part arranged to receive outgoing e-mails from users of the network and to send the received e-mails to their recipients. The sending part is arranged to copy at least some of the contents in the received e-mail to a storage. The sending part provides an amended e-mail based on the received e-mail, said amended e-mail comprising at least one pointer substituting the contents copied to the storage, said pointer pointing at said contents in said storage.11-11-2010
20110013641Method and Apparatus for Communication of Data Packets between Local Networks - Method and arrangement for obtaining unambiguous addressing for data packets communicated between devices (E01-20-2011
20110026537Method and Apparatus for Communication of Data Packets between Local Networks - Method and arrangement for communication of data packets between a first device (D02-03-2011
20110282945NETWORK AWARE PEER TO PEER - The present invention relates to a method for selecting suitable peers in a peer to peer network for content downloading whereby identities of peers possessing a specified content are received to a coordinating node. The method comprises steps of fetching network parameters associated with the received identities from a public data base and steps of grouping the peers with respect to the network parameters.11-17-2011
20120002550GLOBAL PROVISIONING OF ZERO-BANDWIDTH TRAFFIC ENGINEERING LABEL SWITCHED PATHS - A method of load balancing zero-bandwidth Traffic Engineering Label Switching Paths (0-bw TE LSPs) in a communication network having a plurality of network nodes and a plurality of network links connecting the nodes. The method may be implemented in a centralized Path Computation Element (PCE) or in an ingress router. Each equal cost path from a source node to a destination node is identified from network topology information. A probability of selecting each equal cost shortest path is determined using an iterative Global Load balancing Algorithm (GLA) and each 0-bw TE LSP is provisioned with a specific probability such that the 0-bw TE LSPs are uniformly distributed over all network links.01-05-2012
20120017105ENERGY EFFICIENT ETHERNET NETWORK NODES AND METHODS FOR USE IN ETHERNET NETWORK NODES - The present invention relates to a transmitting node for transmitting data to a receiving node over at least one Ethernet link comprising a data communication unit arranged to transmit data over the at least one Ethernet link, and a control unit arranged to control the data communication unit so as to maintain the at least one Ethernet link in a link active state, characterized in that the control unit is arranged to operate in a first IDLE state in which IDLE data packets are transmitted periodically through the data communication unit over the at least one Ethernet link according to at least one predetermined IDLE data packet timing interval, and in said first IDLE state, power down at least one component comprised in the data communication unit in between the periodic transmissions of IDLE data packets. The present invention further relates to a method for use in a transmitting node, a receiving node, a network node and a system.01-19-2012
