20090008411 | WEARABLE CHEMCIAL DISPENSER - Disclosed herein are wearable devices for dispensing insect repellents, fragrances, and/or other chemicals along the outside of the clothing of a human, to avoid the need to apply such chemicals directly to clothing or to human's skin. The devices have an on/off switch that automatically controls a shutter which enables and restricts air flow, while also controlling fan operation and covering of a use-up cue. The device also is designed to prevent fan operation when an impregnated slab is not present. Also disclosed are preferred refills for use with such devices. | 01-08-2009 |
20100270392 | Multi-Layer Film Coverings For Volatizing Dispensers - Disclosed are dispensers for volatile materials. There is a container in the form of a well having an internal cavity, a volatile chemical positioned in the cavity, and a multi-layer covering enclosing the cavity. The covering has a lower section that is gas permeable, and an upper section removably bound to the lower section that is not. Embodiments include when (a) the lower section has a top layer that is a blend of high density polyethylene and low density polyethylene; the upper section has a bottom layer that has a mixture of polypropylene and a propylene/ethylene copolymer; and/or the lower section has an upper layer that has low density polyethylene but the lower section does not contain ultra low density polyethylene. These features help prevent premature leakage at the bond between the upper section and lower section. | 10-28-2010 |
20100270393 | Wearable Chemical Dispenser - Disclosed herein are wearable devices for dispensing insect repellents, fragrances, and/or other chemicals along the outside of the clothing of a human, to avoid the need to apply such chemicals directly to clothing or to human's skin. The devices have an on/off switch that automatically controls a shutter which enables and restricts air flow, while also controlling fan operation and covering of a use-up cue. The device also is designed to prevent fan operation when an impregnated slab is not present. Also disclosed are preferred refills for use with such devices. | 10-28-2010 |
20120131986 | METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR TESTING AIR TREATMENT CHEMICAL DISPENSING - Disclosed herein are methods for measuring the concentration of volatile air treatment chemicals in the air. These methods can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of, and/or optimize, dispensers that dispenses a volatile air treatment chemical into a test area. One runs side by side sampling of air using both sorbent tube and solid phase micro extraction fiber collectors to develop a correlation curve between air treatment chemical concentration results from the sorbent tube sampling and amount readings from the SPME sampling. One then uses SPME collectors to measure in a passive manner the performance of the volatile dispensers. | 05-31-2012 |
