20080201766Efficient data structures for multi-dimensional security - Efficient data structures are generated to enforce permissions on a multi-dimensional representation in a performance management application. A model site is generated having at least one model with at least one dimension. User permissions and group permissions are set for the model. The user permission and the group permissions are deployed to a relational database. A collective user permission table is generated based on the user permissions and the group permissions. Thus, an end user may receive permissions associated with a model and permissions associated with particular dimensions of a model without an inefficient consumption of resources.08-21-2008
20090287704CELL-BASED SECURITY REPRESENTATION FOR DATA ACCESS - Architecture for cell-based security on a per-user basis. A security model for this capability includes not only dimension level tables, but is extended to include cell level tables. The security model can include existing dimension tables, plus cell security tables that include a cell permissions table, a cell qualifiers table and a table that includes both the cell permissions table, a cell qualifiers. Metadata associated with the security applied to the cells for a given user can be stored locally in a local metadata store for retrieval and application against a data cube that an authenticated and authorized user is querying. In a specific implementation, the cell level security is employed in a performance management server application, where authentication is performed remotely by an authentication service, but the authorization function is performed local to the performance management server application.11-19-2009

20080208874Handling multi-dimensional data including writeback data - Embodiments are provided to use metadata to provide readable and/or writeable regions of a multi-dimensional space. In an embodiment, metadata can be used to define readable and/or writeable regions of a multi-dimensional data store. The various embodiments also use relational and/or multi-dimensional representations to resolve and validate readable and/or writeable regions of a multi-dimensional space. Metadata can also be used to in conjunction with writeback operations.08-28-2008
20080208918Efficient data handling representations - Embodiments are provided to use metadata to provide readable and/or writeable regions of a multi-dimensional space. In an embodiment, metadata can be used to define readable and/or writeable regions of a multi-dimensional data store. The various embodiments also use relational and/or multi-dimensional representations to resolve and validate readable and/or writeable regions of a multi-dimensional space. Metadata can also be used to designate a number of writeable and/or readable regions of a relational and/or multi-dimensional representation.08-28-2008

20080209435Scalable workflow management system - A scalable workflow management system is provided that includes queues for storing work items to be processed. Work items may be placed into the queues by front-end services executing within the workflow management system. When a work item is placed on a queue, it remains on the queue until an appropriate back-end service is available to de-queue the work item, validate the de-queued work item, and process the de-queued work item. Separate queues are provided for storing normal work items, work items generated according to a time schedule, and work items generated by job launching services. The state of operation of the workflow management system may be controlled by an administrative console application.08-28-2008

20100239380CARBON SHAFTED REAMING DEVICE - A carbon shafted reaming device includes a rod element, an interface element and a connecting agent. The rod element comprises a first connecting portion having a carbon fiber reinforced structure, wherein the interface element comprises a second connecting portion. The first connecting portion and the second connecting portion are concentrically arranged to each other, and wherein the connecting agent is interposed between the first connecting portion and the second connecting portion. Either of the rod element and the interface element may be coupled to a reaming tool or a drive.09-23-2010
