20090265218Method and system for media initialization via data sharing - A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium estimate media performance on advertising space inventory. The method selects at least one media cell that shares one or more common attributes with a target media cell. The method subsequently estimates mean revenue per impression (RPI) of the selected media cell, and then defines an initial estimate of a RPI of the target media cell based on the estimated RPI of the selected cell. The method computes the RPI of the target media cell by combining the initial RPI estimate for the target media cell with performance data associated with the target media cell.10-22-2009

20110041133PROCESSING OF STREAMING DATA WITH A KEYED DELAY - A keyed delay is used in the processing of streaming data to decrease the processing performed and the output provided. A first event, within a particular window, having a particular key starts a delay condition. Arriving events with the same key replace the previous arrival for that key until the delay condition is satisfied. In response thereto, the latest event with that key is output.02-17-2011

20090290706Methods and Apparatus for Secure and Adaptive Delivery of Multimedia Content - Techniques for securely and adaptively delivering multimedia content are disclosed in which a set of alternate access units for each time slot is obtained. Then, the encryption stream index of each access unit from the set of alternate access units of the previous time slot are obtained. An encryption stream index is then assigned to each access unit in the set of alternate access units in the current time slot, such that the encryption index increases over time. Thus, the invention overcomes the problem of encrypting a multimedia stream that may have multiple access units for each time slot by selecting the encryption index for each access unit such that the encryption index increases, regardless of which access unit the delivery system (e.g., server) selects for transmission.11-26-2009
20090313400DYNAMIC STABILIZATION FOR A STREAM PROCESSING SYSTEM - Disclosed are a method, upstream processing node, and computer readable medium for dynamically stabilizing a stream processing system. The method includes receiving at least one computing resource allocation target. The method further includes determining that an input data flow rate of at least one upstream processing element varies. The computing resource is dynamically allocated to the upstream processing element in response to the input rate of the upstream processing element varying. Data flow is dynamically controlled between the upstream processing element and at least one downstream processing element.12-17-2009
20100293301Dynamically Composing Data Stream Processing Applications - Techniques for dynamically modifying inter-connections between components in an application are provided. The techniques include receiving a data producer profile for each output port within a software application to be executed on one or more processors, receiving a data subscription profile for each input port of each component of the application, establishing connections between the output ports and the input ports of the components in the application based on a comparison of each data producer profile and each data subscription profile, executing the application on one or more processors to process streams of data, receiving either or both of a new data producer profile or a new data subscription profile during the execution of the application, and establishing at least one new connection between an output port and an input port based upon a revised comparison of the received data profiles that include the new data profile.11-18-2010

20090080777Methods and Apparatus for Filtering Video Packets for Large-Scale Video Stream Monitoring - A method of filtering video packets for video stream monitoring is provided. A video packet of a video stream is received. One or more features are extracted from a specified frame of the video packet via one or more histograms and frequency domain coefficients of the specified frame. One or more concept detectors are implemented on the one or more features creating one or more confidence values. The confidence values are transmitted to a display module for filtering of video packets.03-26-2009

20120092169METHOD OF ASSESSING HUMAN FALL RISK USING MOBILE SYSTEMS - A method for determining the motive instability of an individual using foot pressure, foot speed and foot direction data collected from sensors on shoes. The sensed data is used to determine the minimum number and the placement of pressure sensors in the shoe. The data from the sensors is processed to extract spatial and temporal parameters as desired. The data is grouped into segments based on a segmentation rule. The trend in each segment is determined. The variability of the trend in each segment is determined. The risk of fall is computed on the basis of the trend and variance. The computation is adjustable by emphasizing certain parameters in order to tailor the instability assessment to a specific individual.04-19-2012

20080273106Class AB amplifier and imagers and systems using same - A class AB amplifier includes an input stage having a pair of differential input terminals, first and second differential output terminals, and a local common mode feedback circuit. The input stage includes a local common mode feedback circuit having cascode transistor to achieve relatively high gain. The amplifier also includes an output stage having first and second pairs complementary transistors coupled between first and second power supply nodes. One of the complementary transistors in each pair has a gate coupled to the first and second differential output terminals, respectively. The output stage includes a pair of cascode transistor connected to one of the pairs of complementary output transistors. The amplifier can be used to supply a bias voltage to a highly capacitive load, such as voltage sampling capacitors in a CMOS imager.11-06-2008

20120098970SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR STORING AND REMOTELY RETRIEVING VIDEO IMAGES - A system and method for enabling real-time off-site video image storage is disclosed. An off-site storage site is coupled to camera servers at client sites via a private network. Each camera server is further coupled to one or more surveillance cameras. Video images captured by cameras located at the client sites are forwarded to an off-site server via a camera server. Video images received by the off-site server are produced for live viewing and/or archived in an image database. Users can retrieve live or archived video images through a client workstation that communicates with the off-site server over the public Internet. Retrieval of video images is based on a web-browser interface. Live viewing of video images is supplemented by real-time camera control functions that alter the pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) position of the camera producing the live images. Commands for controlling the PTZ camera are encoded by the client workstation and transmitted to the off-site server. The off-site server converts the camera control codes into control strings that are recognizable by the particular camera.04-26-2012
